    Description

Edit: this months focus is that we are MOVING HOUSE. starting the week of september 15th we are packing boxes for a move 10mins down the road to a new construction community. Would love some helping hands to pack and unpack, do you like to decorate and organize? that would be awesome ! Even willing to pay a tip for the help in addition to room and food. It will be a time of chaos and everything else you read below does exist but we are not in touch with that routine right now. We also have a 3month old new born and an aupair from South Africa. So full house !

We have a guest room with your name on it. We love community, we love to cook and host, and would welcome someone into our home. We have a lot of love and safety to offer someone looking to change their location and experience a slice of life here in Cary NC. It is a suburban area but we are on nestled in nature, we have woods and a small lake in the backyard, library and shops walking distance. Cary NC happens to be filled with diaspora from India, we have a bustling culture of food, temples and cultural events. At home we cook South Indian vegetarian meals, happy to teach you all our recipes. We have bhajan and kirtan night once in a week or so. Our home is always filled with friends and family and the right person would embrace the flow and find their place with us (but we respect your need to recharge/privacy as well). We have a family of 3, myself, my husband and our 12yo son and a cat name Guacamole.

Well kept spacious home. 4 bedrooms + an office + a sunroom. Woods and a community lake in the back of the house. We have 2 kayaks you are welcome to use, a walking trail that wraps around the lake. Shops restaurants and library walking distance.

PROJECTS: a garden that has gotten no TLC , I do not know much about wood work but do believe in youtube university and with the right company we can brainstorm and build anything together. I don't envision my guest having to do arduous cleaning work. Only creative inspirational type things. I have a wonderful husband but he is very busy with his IT job and thus I don't have the company I need to do all the things I wish to do around the home.

I am putting up this add in hopes to find someone who can help out, it does not have to be daily, it can be based on per project. I’d say not more 10 - 20 hours a week, although it could be that we end up doing a bunch of work on one day and taking off the rest of the week. I work as a mental health therapist, work from home mostly. My husband does AI work for Dell. If you wanted mentoring in either of these career fields we would love to share what we know.

You can learn all the things we cook, which of course includes Indian cooking but also Thai, Italian and Mexican. Our close circle will become yours , which is 30 ~ strong. Most are from India but close friends also include heritage from Mexico and South Korea. I am off Indian heritage but I happen to be from South Africa. You will have a network via all of these folks.

I believe in potential and not actual skills so I don't expect traveler's to have a boat load of skills, just good workmanship. Some projects we could do together include helping hands to pack and unpack, do you like to decorate and organize?

    What else ...

In your time off you have local and extensive areas to explore. Locally we are in the town of Cary, but are closely connected to Chapel Hill, Durham and Raleigh. All have potential to be explored. We less than 3 hours to the beach and you cannot come here and not go to the Blue Ridge and Appalachian mountains. Charlotte is a 2 hr drive, Washington DC 6hrs. Asheville NC 4 hr drive and a MUST SEE for travelers. Its your calling. We will take you around if we get the chance but cant guarantee that we will cover all said places. Plenty of travel buddies and carpooling local groups to get your local travels on. Trains and buses exist but barely.
