Description
We are a part of a South Korean initiative working to support underprivileged people so they can provide for their families and live in dignity. We are empowering these people with skills, training, and education to start their own successful businesses and move from consumers to producers.
As well as providing women and their families with economic independence, our work is helping to reduce food waste, protect the environment and achieve sustainable development. We are also working to expand organic permaculture in Jordan and we have our own farm in Marj al-Hamam, near Amman. We would also like to organize cultural events and workshops to involve young people, create networks, provide spaces for personal and professional growth. Among our future projects, there is also the creation and organization of slow tourism itineraries, to enhance the many attractions of our country for both Jordanian and international tourists.
Our approach is a mix of open-minded brainstorming and creativity to constantly improve our work. Currently our team includes five people, who are helping in management and coordinating with local community.
We warmly welcome you to join our team as a volunteer and help us with our important work to empower families and communities in Jordan.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
As well as developing skills and experience while working with us, volunteers can gain the "Saemaul Spirit," which is a positive attitude to life based on diligence, self-help and cooperation. Volunteers can learn more about the universal model for development cooperation, which contributes to poverty eradication and sustainable development. Volunteering with us may leave you feeling inspired to adopt this approach in your own country and village.
This refers to any community development movement which builds a village or community to improve villagers’ quality of life based on these principles, and which is by the villagers, of the villagers and for the villagers. You can learn more about the organisation at its website.
With us, workawayers have the opportunity to stay in and enjoy Amman, a beautiful, busy and cosmopolitan city where life becomes more global everyday, and also the quieter and more rural life on our farm in Marj al-Hamam. On the organic farm we are happy to share the knowledge that enables us to be successful in permaculture in this very special environment in the water-scarce Middle East.Help
In Amman, volunteers are needed to help with administration, proposal writing, reporting and following up to the HQ in Korea. Also included may be data gathering and analysis, evaluating, and project innovation through brainstorming and exchange knowledge. We also need help with our social media, especially updating our Facebook page and starting Instagram page
Most importantly, workawayers are needed who are motivated and happy to help with paperwork. Even though this may seem intimidating or boring, we can find a way to work together and enjoy it at the same time.
Of course there is always the opportunity to also work on the farm in Marj al-Hamam, which is near Amman.
We have much work to do so if you would like to discuss how we can work together, please feel free to contact us.Languages
