Description
Hi everyone we are Deina (40) and Nuri ( 11 years old) and we are living in a sweet little house in the countryside but not far from town.
At the moment I need help in the olive's arwest. That's why I host for minimum 14
days.
I studied cultural anthropology and i like learning other languages and discover new cultures. I am also a certified shiatsu therapist!
I am part of a non violent association founded by Lanza del Vasto, we are part of the permaculture sicilian moviment and
we take part of the non religious scout world :-)
We can host, preferably women with us in our house, and we ask for general help in our land :we have olives, almonds and prickly pears and we need always some extra help in the veg garden.
Help with houseworks is also welcome like dish washing, cooking (if you like), vacuum cleaning or general maintenance of the common spaces.
At this moment I need help especially for little work outside with the threes, so I would need guests used to farm's gardening and quite strong harms.
My son Nuri (11 years old) is always happy when volunteers play with him, he's learn English and Spanish at school and practice would be so good for him.
In the weekend normally he stays at his father's farmhouse. -

For august: we're looking for house and pet sitting for some days.
-collect wood all around the land and organize a woodshed (jan, feb, mar, apr)
!!!!! olives picking (nov, dec)!!!!!
- help during the pruning of the olive trees (jan)
- vegetable garden (all year round)
- DIY Projects in the wintergarten/ glasshouse
- DIY Projects in the land (up to you)
- House sitting especially in August

Accommodation
We offer a little but sweet private room in our house, with modern common bathroom (look at the photos on the profile). :-)
All the waters flow into the land so please don't bring chemical soaps, toothpaste aor any chemical product that is not biodegradable.
We suggest our place to people who love quietness and sometimes it could be possibile that you'll be alone (when we have other stuff to do out).
If you have your own car of course you are free to go anywhere in your free time, otherwise i can take you to the metro/ bus stop, depending on my working times and time table etc.
Note that there is no public transportation on Saturday and Sunday and that we can't come to pick you up in Catania (airport nor city center).
The house is almost 5 minute by car from the nearest village.
We also love funny evenings with our friends, eating dinner together & playing cards or making music.
We don't like rave party , drugs or big and loudly events.
Once you commit we expect you to come... it causes us a lot of difficulties when someone doesn’t show up. So please be transparent, let us know if you are not sure. -

We have a big white dog, he doesn't bite nor is aggressive to humans,but he can't stand other dogs around 😬
