We are a small acreage property in Brisbane (just 25 mins to the city) and close to public transport located on the edge of Daisy Hill Forest.
We live in what feels like a paradise with the house set on a ridge looking out into the treetops. We love the bush setting, the peace and quiet, the wallabies and our horses and as avid travellers ourselves (my husband is an alpine climber), we look forward to sharing our wonderful lifestyle with travellers.
We are a family with a 14 and 12 year-old, two horses, two dogs, 4 domestics cats plus lots of visiting wallabies.

Help in the house
We live on the edge of Daisy Hill forest so the Australian bush - as well as mountain biking and bush walking - are right at our doorstep. But at the same time, we are in the middle of Brisbane - just 25 minutes from Brisbane city and walking distance to public transport. The beach is a 45 minute drive away. If you like horses, you'll enjoy being part of the daily horse routine. If you want peace and quiet, there is plenty of that. And if you want to get out and do things, then we are close to everything. We live an active lifestyle - horse competitions, bush walking, mountain biking and hitting the beach and we'd be glad to have you along on these escapades. Or you may prefer to do your own thing.
The help varies from animal care and general farm work to landscaping to some domestic things like cleaning windows. Something for everyone basically :-)
We have had this property for 2.5 years and we have completed a major renovation. However, there is still lots to do in terms of generally cleaning the property up, weeding, landscaping etc. And there are always domestic chores such as cooking and cleaning to help with too :-) Or, if you are so inclined, help with the horses.
We are happy to be flexible in which of the above work suits you, your skills and your interests.
Large studio bedroom queen bed and twin beds with its own bathroom in roomy, renovated home. Access to large homestyle kitchen and three living areas. Free wi fi.
We are walking distance to public transport - about a 400 m walk to a local bus-stop and about 2.5 km to the springwood bus transit centre. And it may often be convenient to give you a lift to the bus stop or other places.
If you want to get out into the forest, then you're welcome to borrow a mountain-bike (or just walk).
We are new to hosting but as avid travellers ourselves, we are looking forward to meeting travellers and sharing our wonderful lifestyle.
