    Description

    Hi, I’m Tanja 😊

I live in a peaceful, creative home on the Gold Coast, just a short walk to the beach, parks, cafes, and HOTA (Home of the Arts).

I’m currently transforming my home into a calm, wellness-inspired sanctuary — with greenery, outdoor styling, and a relaxing spa-style space.

I enjoy painting, being near the water, and creating beautiful, peaceful environments.

This is a relaxed, independent home — perfect if you enjoy your own space, nature, and a slower pace.

I’m friendly and enjoy a chat or shared meal sometimes, but I’m naturally someone who values quiet and independence.

This home suits someone who is respectful, self-sufficient, calm, and happy working independently 🌿

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

I love meeting people from different cultures and learning about their food, music, art, language, travel experiences and everyday life.

I enjoy painting, gardening, wellness, meditation, yoga, the ocean, snorkelling and exploring the Gold Coast. I would love to share local ideas such as beaches, HOTA, markets, parks, cafés and relaxed outdoor life.

I would also enjoy learning about your home country, favourite meals, music, creative interests, travel stories and any skills or traditions you would like to share.

I value a relaxed balance of friendly connection and independence — perhaps the occasional shared meal, cup of tea, conversation, outing or creative project, while still giving everyone plenty of quiet time and personal space.

Shared home, creative projects and cultural exchange

    Hi, I’m Tanja 😊

I live in a peaceful, creative home on the Gold Coast, close to beaches, parks, cafés, shops and HOTA — the Home of the Arts. It is a lovely place to slow down, enjoy nature and experience Gold Coast life while still being close to everything.

My home is gradually becoming a calm wellness-inspired retreat, with greenery, outdoor spaces, a pool, infrared sauna, spa, kayak and cosy areas to relax, create and enjoy the sunshine.

This could be a lovely fit for someone who enjoys:

    • Gardening, plants and outdoor styling
    • Home organisation, decluttering and creating satisfying “before and after” spaces
    • Painting, art, décor, photography or creative projects
    • Wardrobe styling, outfit ideas and helping someone feel more confident in their clothes
    • Creating cosy wellness spaces with cushions, lighting, artwork, storage and finishing touches
    • Simple practical projects, planning spaces, measuring, assembling, organising materials and helping bring ideas to life

You do not need to be an expert or able to do everything. I would especially love to welcome kind, respectful and independent people with a creative eye, practical flair, initiative and an interest in making spaces feel more beautiful, organised and cared for.

I especially enjoy hosting people who are naturally hands-on, practical and resourceful. You may enjoy simple DIY-style projects, measuring and planning spaces with me, assembling or organising items, painting, garden projects, problem-solving, preparing areas for future improvements, or helping bring creative ideas to life.

There are some larger home improvements planned over time, such as outdoor structures and flooring. These jobs will be organised separately with qualified local tradespeople, but I would genuinely welcome a practical person’s ideas, help with preparation, organisation, styling and the satisfying finishing touches around them.

Creative projects we can bring to life together

This is not a house where you will just be doing routine chores. I would love to share satisfying, hands-on projects with someone who enjoys seeing a space gradually become more beautiful, welcoming and useful.

Some of the things we may enjoy working on together include:

    • Turning the sauna and spa area into a beautiful little wellness retreat with plants, artwork, lighting, cushions, storage and thoughtful finishing touches

    • Refreshing gazebo and outdoor sitting areas so they feel cosy and inviting for yoga, reading, meals or evening chats

    • Creating calmer, more organised garden and outdoor spaces by arranging pots, plants, bamboo, pathways, seating areas and little green corners

    • Resetting storage areas and outdoor zones so everything has a proper place and feels easier to use

    • Painting, styling, arranging artwork, refreshing furniture and finding creative ways to make ordinary areas look more intentional and beautiful

    • Giving selected parts of the home a satisfying “before and after” reset through tidying, decluttering, cleaning, rearranging and styling

I especially enjoy people who can look at an area and say, “What if we tried this?” There is room to bring your own ideas, creativity and personality into the projects.

    Wardrobe editing and personal styling

I would especially value someone kind but honest who enjoys wardrobe editing and personal styling.

I have accumulated too many clothes over the years and would love help creating flattering, practical outfits, identifying gaps and making getting dressed feel easier and more enjoyable.

I work best with a gentle, flexible rhythm rather than trying to make every decision all at once. It may suit someone who is happy to have an independent look through sections of my wardrobe, put together possible outfits, make simple “keep / maybe / donate” groupings, or take photos of combinations — then come back to me and we can go through the ideas together at a calm pace.

I would love this to feel like a fun creative project rather than an overwhelming clear-out. Some parts can be done together, while other parts may work best with you having space to use your own eye and initiative first.

    A little about the home

This is a peaceful private home rather than a party house. All help is solely for my own private home, garden and personal living spaces. I do not run a business from the property and I am not seeking any business-related help.

I value kindness, good communication, mutual respect and people who enjoy both independence and the occasional shared meal, chat or outing.

A few things that help everything flow nicely:

    • Being reliable and taking pride in your work
    • Cleaning up after yourself, especially in shared spaces
    • Keeping noise and energy calm and respectful
    • Communicating openly and kindly

I really value a peaceful home, so this suits someone who is naturally considerate, tidy and happy to take initiative.

You are welcome to enjoy the pool, bikes, kayak and outdoor areas respectfully. The spa and sauna may also be available by agreement — please ask first so we can make sure they are being used safely and at suitable times.

Larger structural building, roofing, flooring installation, plumbing, electrical, waterproofing, tiling and renovation work is handled separately by qualified local professionals.

The home has shared living and outdoor areas, with plenty of space to enjoy independence and quiet time. There is also access to a separate kitchen area, as well as the pool, outdoor spaces, bikes and kayak respectfully.

The sauna and spa may also be available by agreement — please ask first so we can make sure they are being used safely and at suitable times.
