Insistence on having to work into the night was mentioned repeatedly and the only exploration of the area done was by myself. I had basically been made a live in landscaper and odd jobs man. I
… read more completely feel as this was my first workaway that I was taken advantage of and lied to. After being told of 2 places I would be staying I booked the flights and wasnt told the plan had changed until 2 weeks in. I was more than happy to leave this as a learning experience but after having recieved a negetive review from this host I felt it only fair to express my side of events. i wasnt going to give any feedback but i have just discovered that half of the plants that we bought together (1000 euros worth) have to be completely redone, many died as they were just left half planted. Tristan promises the world which is in the end hot air, talks alot, and delivers minimum - i realised that he has very little landscaping
… read more experience and so many things were left undone in three weeks what he claimed he could easily do in one...when i finally saw in the last week that it was no where near finished i pulled him up on it and he then said he would prove to me that he could do it in three days...at the end of the three weeks he said that it was actually impossible to do what i had asked....all in all a definately not recommend unless perhaps working in a team and being led by a manager. However, one thing, he is good at woodwork but not gardening at all. I have to get the entire job re-done. what a waste.

… read more with some construction and garden work and they were also thrilled with his hard work and wonderful company.
