    Description

    Hello there!
We are a family of four (mom, dad, girl (almost 10 years old) en boy (7 years old). We live in a small countryside village right in front of a big wooden Dutch mill. We live there together with our four sheep, four chickens and two ducks.
We are a German/Dutch family. Currently we are working on our house (mostly painting, some maintenance) and off course, working, studying and off course care for our kids.
Dad is working in the glove industry, mom is actually a teachter but now studying coretalents.
The kids go to school but now every day. They are both into arts & crafts and both swim as their sports. Also, the girl loves gymnastic, playing theater and horse care. The boy plays piano, flute and swims as well.
Our rural location means we drive of cycle daily to school, this is about 9km one way.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Lots of sports and music/theater lessons of the kids. Two cities are within a 10km range. You could get a bike to reach it.
We speak German, Dutch and English. The girl also a bit, the boy is starting. I'm a teacher, so teacher relate things. Hot topic is giftedness and coretalents. Further more living in this country, day to day living.
We hope for a really warm, open exchange of culture.

  • Help

    Help

We could use some help with the day to day chores. For example cooking, gardening, maintenance of the house, Sometimes hobbies/play dates/meetings overlap. It would be super nice if you would be happy to make nice time with the kids. We love to learn new things so if you speak another language, have an interesting hobby in which you would like to include them, that would also be nice.
Oh, and our son would love to sell his art work and wants to learn how to build a website for that, maybe you know how ;)
And we would love it if you are sensitve like we are. Our family needs that, its really requiered.

This host offers a language exchange
Love languages. We are especially interested in a language exchange in French. Not through books but through meeting new people and exchange about life and interests we have. The language exchange is mainly for the children so they can learn French which is requiered for their education. It would be important to us that you engage in a natural flow contact through things as arts, sports and crafts.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

We live in a house. The front side is a normal neighbourhood, the back side nature with a big working windmill. We can visit! We have a little field with some animals, a big open garden, a walking route just outside our fense. There is a little river nearby and a forrest just 15 minutes of walking away. Lot's of cylcing possibilities as well.
You would have your own room but share the house with the family.
Eating we can do together. If you feel the need for privacy this could also be in your room of course.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

In your time off there is a lot of green around. Also, two cities to visit. Den Bosch and Oss. Especially Den Bosch is culturally interesting. You could get there by bike. If you would have a drivings license we could discuss using a car.
