    Description

Because of the Covid situation I am only accepting workers who are already in the UK and preferably have their own transport.
    Horsy people invited!
If you'd appreciate some solitary time, away from the rat race, maybe this could be for you!
I am a semi retired teacher with a love of the countryside, my animals, wildlife, cycling, art, music and dancing. I live in the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds in a tiny cottage, in the hamlet of Miningsby on the Revesby Estate. It's very rural and rather isolated. No shops within walking distance, but with pretty market towns just 10 minutes' drive away. Our nearest train station is in Boston, which can be reached via either Grantham or Peterborough from most towns with nearby airports.
Help needed with grassland management, horse care and gardening, domestic and DIY tasks in exchange for accommodation and meals.
Lovely countryside walks, bird watching, cycling and possibly horse riding. Flexible hours of work and expectations of cheerful company! I go out almost every night and you're always welcome to join me, but if you don't want to, you will have to cope with rural isolation!
Accommodation in the cottage (double sofabed in the spare room). Access to reasonably reliable mobile wifi, but with extremely limited data allowance.
My career as a specialist teacher means that I have an in depth knowledge of the English language and how to teach not only vocabulary but grammar and different styles of written expression, which could be handy for students of English. I am familiar with the Cambridge exams in English.
Non smokers only need apply. Meals are vegetarian. Horse savvy people given preference.
Please note...if religious or cultural observances mean you can't work on certain days, this isn't the placement for you. The horse care is needed every day.
Time off has to be arranged around that understanding.

I am a very skilled horse trainer, specialising in helping troubled horses to trust humans again. Helpers can observe and learn my techniques.
I am a specialist teacher and am therefore well equipped to help people improve their level of spoken and written English.
I have a fantastic social life with a circle of diverse and interesting people you'd probably like to meet!

    What else ...

Please expect to do about five hours of work a day. Bikes provided for local transport. Lifts into nearby towns if I'm going. Mainly country interests catered for, but with plenty of dances, parties and festivals going on. Free time is just that!
It's a quiet rural environment with lots of wildlife, a gentle pace of life, a good escape from the rat race....
