  This stay offers a unique opportunity for cultural exchange and learning. By undertaking tasks together and sharing skills, you will have the chance to immerse yourself in new experiences, gain insights into different techniques, and broaden your cultural horizons. It's not just about completing tasks but also about connecting with others and enriching your personal and professional life.

  Help

  I’m looking for help from Workaway volunteers who are eager to learn craft skills while enjoying a cultural exchange experience. Volunteers will assist with various DIY and renovation projects around my apartment, working alongside me and, in some cases, local tradespeople. Additionally, I’m seeking artists who specialize in painting and can contribute their artistic skills. Here are some of the tasks I need help with:
  1. Transforming a wardrobe in the bathroom: I plan to turn my current wardrobe into a built-in wall closet for the bathroom. I’ll need help with carpentry and assembling this project.
  2. Building a half-round kitchen wall table and tiling: I want to create a half-round table for the kitchen and tile the surface. If you have experience with furniture making or tiling or are eager to learn this could be a fun project for us.
  3. Renovating the kitchen: I want to renovate my kitchen, making some changes and improvements. There are several tasks here, from small repairs to some redesigning, so I need a helping hand with various aspects of this.
  4. Laying laminate flooring: I need assistance with laying laminate flooring in several rooms. If you have experience with floor installation or are willing to learn, this is a great opportunity to develop your skills.
  5. General renovations and small repairs: There will be many smaller renovation tasks, such as plastering and painting walls, repairing furniture, and other general upkeep. This is where your DIY skills will be put to good use.
  6. Cleaning and organizing the apartment: In addition to the renovation work, I need help with cleaning and organizing my apartment. If you’re good at tidying up and love organizing spaces, this will be an important part of your work.
  7. Artistic Contributions: I’m also looking for artists who specialize in painting or visual arts. If you have experience in creating artwork and would like to contribute to decorating the apartment, I’d love to collaborate with you.
  
  8. Sanding and painting doors:** We’ll work side by side to prepare and paint the doors, allowing you to practice sanding and painting techniques.
  
  9. Attaching baseboards: Together, we’ll attach baseboards while discussing the fundamentals of woodworking, alongside local professionals.
  
  
  My aim is to create a rich cultural exchange experience, filled with opportunities for learning and skill-sharing. Volunteers will receive meals or ingredients for three full meals a day. This fair arrangement includes both food and accommodation for up to 25 hours of assistance a week (4-5 hours a day, 5 days a week).
  
  I’m excited about the meaningful interactions and shared learning experiences that await with my volunteers.

  You will be accommodated in a private room, equipped with everything you need. The room includes a bed with a comfortable mattress and a really spacious shared bathroom. Everything necessary for a comfortable stay is provided.
  
  I do provide tea, spices, oil for cooking, and some basic food items like onions and garlic. I also offer basic staples such as pasta, rice, beans, canned tomatoes, and passata. You will be responsible for preparing your own meals, ensuring you have what you need. You can cook and eat whenever you want, fitting your own rhythm and preferences.

  The location is incredibly well-connected. The Tempelhof Field is just a 8-minute walk away, providing a vast open space for leisure activities. Numerous parks are nearby, making it perfect for those who enjoy outdoor activities. Public transportation links are excellent, with easy access to various parts of the city.
  
  You'll find a plethora of restaurants offering diverse cuisines, making it a great spot for food enthusiasts. Whether you're interested in sightseeing, dining, or simply enjoying a stroll in a beautiful park, this location has something for everyone.
  
  The area boasts excellent public transportation connections, so getting around the city is both convenient and easy.
  Nearby attractions include the iconic Tempelhof Airfield, various local parks, and other city highlights that are easily reachable thanks to the great transport links.
