  Hallo zusammen, mein Name ist Bahia und ich lebe in einer schönen Altbauwohnung im Herzen von Berlin, genauer gesagt im lebendigen Stadtteil Neukölln. Mein Zuhause bietet viel Platz und ist der perfekte Ausgangspunkt, um die Stadt zu erkunden.

  This stay offers a unique opportunity for cultural exchange and learning. By undertaking tasks together and sharing skills, you will have the chance to immerse yourself in new experiences, gain insights into different techniques, and broaden your cultural horizons. It's not just about completing tasks but also about connecting with others and enriching your personal and professional life.

  Help

  During your stay, there will be various small household and creative tasks where we can do together. If you enjoy DIY projects or have an interest in learning new craft skills, we can collaborate on different activities while sharing knowledge. However, the focus is on cultural exchange, creativity, and mutual learning rather than professional labor.
  
  I am looking for Workaway volunteers who are eager to engage in hands-on creative projects while experiencing cultural exchange. Volunteers will participate in various DIY and home improvement tasks alongside me in a collaborative and educational environment. Additionally, I welcome artists who specialize in painting or visual arts and would like to contribute creatively.
  
  Here are some of the activities we can work on together:
  1. Creative home projects – There are different small improvement tasks around the apartment where we can learn from each other, such as organizing spaces, decorating, and minor DIY tasks.
  2. Painting and artistic contributions – I’m looking for volunteers who enjoy painting and artistic expression. If you have creative skills, we can work on wall decorations or small artistic projects together.
  3. Upcycling and furniture restoration – If you’re interested in upcycling, we can transform or refresh some furniture pieces, giving them a new life.
  4. Collaborative learning in home tasks – Together, we’ll explore basic home care skills, such as assembling furniture, organizing spaces, and refreshing interiors. This is a great opportunity to develop hands-on skills while helping in a relaxed, supportive environment.
  5. Food-sharing activities – As an active Foodsaver, I am also looking for help with food-related tasks. Volunteers will participate in the food-sharing experience by helping with pickups 3–4 times a week and contributing to creative cooking ideas. This means you should be flexible with your eating habits.
  
  I am excited about the meaningful exchanges and shared learning experiences we will have. This is an opportunity to engage in creative tasks, learn new skills, and connect through cultural exchange. Looking forward to welcoming open-minded and motivated volunteers!

  Accommodation

  Volunteers will receive meals or ingredients for three full meals a day. This fair arrangement includes both food and accommodation for up to 25 hours of assistance a week (4-5 hours a day, 5 days a week).
  
  I provide tea, spices, oil for cooking, and some basic food items like onions and garlic, as well as staples such as pasta, rice, beans, canned tomatoes, and passata. As part of the project, volunteers are expected to help with food pick-ups 3-4 times a week, which is an important aspect of the work exchange. This is a community-driven initiative where we participate in food sharing, and volunteers will join in collecting food to help support the project.
  
  You will be responsible for preparing your own meals, but you’ll have access to fresh ingredients collected through these food-sharing efforts. Cooking and eating will be flexible, allowing you to fit your meals into your own rhythm and preferences.

  The location is incredibly well-connected. The Tempelhof Field is just a 8-minute walk away, providing a vast open space for leisure activities. Numerous parks are nearby, making it perfect for those who enjoy outdoor activities. Public transportation links are excellent, with easy access to various parts of the city.
  
  You'll find a plethora of restaurants offering diverse cuisines, making it a great spot for food enthusiasts. Whether you're interested in sightseeing, dining, or simply enjoying a stroll in a beautiful park, this location has something for everyone.
  
  The area boasts excellent public transportation connections, so getting around the city is both convenient and easy.
  Nearby attractions include the iconic Tempelhof Airfield, various local parks, and other city highlights that are easily reachable thanks to the great transport links.
