    Description

Hey, I am Colette and I am a writer and retired international business woman and now living with my five dogs in an idyllic and authentic Italian village in the hills above Lago Iseo, Italy. I am starting a new part time teaching job in September and I would welcome a dog loving remote worker to share my home and help with the dogs, a bit of gardening and help in the house (with plenty of free time) and offer the opportunity for language exchange in English and Italian.

I am an experienced English teacher, including business English, and aspire to improve my Italian - so this could be a great language exchange opportunity for someone who would like to improve their English, work remotely in a beautiful location and become immersed in a traditional Italian farming community.

    Help

Keep the dogs company whilst I am at work between 7.30 am and 6.30pm weekdays for at least a few hours. Make sure the dogs have supervised access to the garden and fun games twice during the day and fresh water. Experience with dogs is essential because four of the dogs are large. Some help with the garden and odd tasks would also be a bonus.

    Accommodation

We have a two bedroom apartment with stunning views and a studio in a converted barn set in garden terraces with views of the lake and mountains. It is a short walk from the accommodation to the centre of the village which has a post office, cash machine, two shops, a pizza restaurant and two cafes. There are many beautiful walks from the property on country lanes, mule tracks and forest paths.

    What else ...

Vigolo is a quiet village community set above Lago Iseo in the Bergamo province of Italy. It is a very special and magical place, set on top of a massif above two deep gorges. There are bus links to the lake, then onwards to Sarnico, a pretty town at the bottom of the lake, all the way through to stunning Bergamo city. There are many activities here on the lake such as hiking, cycling, canoeing, sailing and skiing - the nearest ski resort is a 30 minute drive. The boat terminal in Tavernola Bergamasca gives access by ferry to the largest lake island and the many beautiful towns around the lake. Lago Iseo is in Val Camonica, an area of natural beauty and interest with many natural wonders to discover and the centre of one of Italy's finest sparkling wine regions, Franciacorta. Bergamo is served by its own International Airport.
