  We are a small, welcoming place located in, El Paredón, Guatemala, and we are looking for a motivated volunteer to join our team.
  
  The volunteer will help with daily tasks and support the development of the place by implementing activities and projects defined by our team. Good communication skills are essential, as both English and Spanish are required to work with guests and staff.
  
  We offer accommodation in our hostel, located in a beautiful setting, with a swimming pool and Wi-Fi.
  
  This is an excellent opportunity for a responsible person who wants to live and work in a unique and peaceful place.

  Somos un lugar pequeño y acogedor ubicado , El Paredón, Guatemala, y estamos buscando un/a voluntario/a motivado/a para unirse a nuestro equipo.
  
  El/la voluntario/a ayudará con las tareas diarias y apoyará el desarrollo del lugar mediante la implementación de actividades y proyectos definidos por nuestro equipo. Es importante tener buenas habilidades de comunicación, ya que se requiere inglés y español para trabajar con los huéspedes y el personal.
  
  Ofrecemos alojamiento en nuestro hostal, ubicado en un entorno hermoso, con piscina y Wi-Fi.

  Volunteers will work with our team and international guests in a coastal town in Guatemala. Includes use of a surfboard and discounts on lessons.

  Functions and Responsibilities:
  
  Greet and attend to guests with friendly and personalized service.
  
  Perform check-in and check-out manually or using a simple system.
  
  Manage reservations by phone, WhatsApp, email, or online platforms.
  
  Issue and receive room keys.
  
  Process payments, issue receipts, and manage the daily cash register.
  
  Provide basic information about the hotel and nearby attractions.
  
  Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance regarding room availability.
  
  Assist with basic administrative tasks (guest registration, daily reports).
  
  Address and resolve complaints or inform the manager when necessary.
  
  Maintain a clean and presentable reception area.

  Requirements:
  
  Education: Completed basic or secondary education.
  
  Experience: Customer service experience preferred (but not required).
  
  Languages: Spanish; basic English preferred.
  
  Skills: Basic computer, telephone, and messaging app proficiency.

  Funciones y responsabilidades:
  
  Recibir y atender a los huéspedes con trato amable y personalizado.
  
  Realizar check-in y check-out de forma manual o en sistema sencillo.
  
  Gestionar reservas por teléfono, WhatsApp, correo o plataformas en línea.
  
  Entregar y recibir llaves de habitaciones.
  
  Realizar cobros, emitir recibos y controlar la caja diaria.
  
  Proporcionar información básica sobre el hotel y lugares cercanos.
  
  Coordinar con limpieza y mantenimiento para la disponibilidad de habitaciones.
  
  Apoyar en tareas administrativas simples (registro de huéspedes, reportes diarios).
  
  Atender y resolver quejas o informar al administrador cuando sea necesario.
  
  Mantener el área de recepción ordenada y presentable.
  
  Requisitos del puesto:
  
  Nivel académico: Educación básica o media completa.
  
  Experiencia: Deseable experiencia en atención al cliente (no indispensable).
  
  Idiomas: Español; inglés básico (deseable).
  
  Conocimientos: Uso básico de computadora, teléfono y redes de mensajería.
