We're a family-owned, traveller-run hostel in one of the safest districts in San Salvador - San Benito. We converted our huge house into a hostel and still try to retain a warm familial atmosphere till this day, be it in the presence of party travellers or introspective wanderers. Everyone is welcome in this shared abode we call home.
The main value our volunteers provide is made up of their initiative to maintain the intended atmosphere of this place (as described above), experience in wandering the globe, and a general desire to interact with the people who walk through our gates, wherever they may come from.
Rest assured that your stay will be comfortable, insightful, and interesting.

El Salvadorean history and culture. Learn or practice Spanish. Visit the entire country with tours we provide or inexpensive public transport. Meet other travellers. Have a sick time on the activities you organise for everyone.
Coming here means, first and foremost, joining the family in managing a house redesigned for travellers.
You'll have a definitive schedule that fills up your daily hours more or less, but we'd like you to see yourself as a member of the family and custodian of the house, which ideally involves lending a hand whenever it may be required. This means helping guests plan their trips around the city or country, offering tips and advice, and being of general assistance whenever you stumble upon a guest in the hostel who needs it. We offer tours to various attractions in the country and naturally expect our volunteers to promote them to guests.
A typical morning for you here entails walking our beloved Scratchy and Magarita. One planned activity is expected every day, and they could be anything you'd like to do with our guests, day or night. You have complete autonomy.
A single bed in a dorm with breakfast. Happy hour drinks 24/7 for all volunteers.
El Tunco is a mere 45 minutes away by bus. Volcanoes, indigenous towns and miradors can all be reached easily. Ticabus, one of the largest affordable bus providers in Central America, has one of its two terminals literally right across the street from us.
