    Description

(No matter where in the world you go to, never underestimate the wisdom of local people. No travel or book will ever be able to point you towards an authentic experience the same way a local resident of the place you are visiting can)

SI TU ES FRANCOPHONE N'hésite pas à me contacter inmediatment...

If you are a videographer, photographer, filmmaker, graphic designer . Please don't hesitate to contact me...

Hi there, I am Nelson {Beaver} and my manager Bush {Dog}. I had the privilege of being the first Workaway host in town back in 2015 with some friend's project. But I have been managing my own Hotel since 2018.

We don't offer accommodation but a truly local experience. I have had the pleasure of hosting volunteers and guests from all over the world for many years. My idea of hosting has always been focused on those who travel slowly and truly want to learn about a country and its people. I have been the pioneer of many projects in Santa Ana. Now everything is changing, but I will always keep my place authentic and real, away from the tourist trap.

Leave me a message if you are interested, and don’t worry if I don’t have space for you due to the high demand of people who write to me. We can meet for a coffee or you can join me at some planned activity. I also have Spanish and French meetups...

The type of help I am looking for is towards my community and providing opportunities that we never had while growing up here. English and yoga teachers are a must. To work in local project, I started in Santa Ana in the meantime you are able to teach and bring your experience to some local people while immersing yourself into our beautiful culture.

And how do I pay you back for helping my people?

As someone born and raised in Santa Ana-El Salvador. I can be the one to provide the best authentic local experience. I had the opportunity to be a Workawayer in 2014 and to experience how this works perfectly.

I am also a certified national local guide, but my experience comes from growing and living here.
Help us in this journey and get to know Santa Ana and the rest of El Salvador in a very unique way- as a local.

    STAY WITH THE LOCALS...

The Hostel-house is a cozy place in the neighborhood where I grew up, 10 minutes away from the Centre. I never wanted to build up a fancy one but a place where you feel as home and you can have everything needed. It’s not a party hostel or the usual tourist trap. I’ve always aimed to keep it, cool, simple and authentic, a place where guests can come and discover what it has meant to grow and live as a local.

Updates/If you are a Videographer, Photographer, or Filmmaker, please don't hesitate to contact me...

I do Not need Workers like the rest of places but people willing to help and learn from our local people. We need people who can teach basic English. some yoga lessons if possible, and many more ideas that you can bring to my people. I am focused and looking for some help towards my community and providing opportunities that we never had while growing up here. Drop us a line and we can discuss more about it. If you know a bit about web design, that would be awesome....

A few years ago, I founded a Spanish school, because I truly enjoy seeing travelers learn the language and some Náhuat as well, since it is our native language. I’m trying to relearn French because I’ve lost it due to lack of practice.

You will have access to the kitchen with fridge, blender and anything you might need, where you can cook all groceries you might get at the local market. Reminder: You will be cooking for yourself too.

Workawayers will stay in shared bedroom. But that never happens so you will have the doorbed for yourself. With a shared bathroom.

Feel free to use the washing machine and everything at home. Mi casa es tu casa. :)

    What else ...

There are plenty of activities to do in Santa Ana, stroll through the small and unique streets of the town. There you will discover local crafts while picking up food and some of the freshest fruits and veggies the region has to offer. We have the Santa Ana Volcano which is also the ideal destination for those who enjoy hiking in a pleasant cool weather. Coatepeque Lake, ranked among the most beautiful lakes of the world. At night do not feel like you need to stay at home. There are plenty of things depending on what you enjoy. From having a beer in one of the speakeasy bars towns that you will get to know with me or having delicious snack from one of the many different restaurants.

We are into surfing, skateboarding, downhill skateboarding and many another extreme passion. In case you share the same lifestyle. ;)
