    Description

Hello! We are Ann and Benoît and we are 60 year both. We have a cabin village in northern Värmland, surrounded by forest and nature.
It is a wonderful place that attracts many visitors from across Europe. The area is quiet, beautiful and secluded, with incredibly fresh air.

We have 22 cabins, as well as a few other buildings – including a large communal hall with a big fireplace and space for around 50–60 people. There is also a wood-fired sauna with showers in the same building.

This is our home, but it is also appreciated by people in the surrounding area. Visitors come from near and far to hike, visit the beautiful nearby lake, or simply walk around and enjoy the cabin village.

We live close to animals and share our everyday life with our dog and three cats. In the future, we hope to have chickens and possibly other animals as well.
In addition to our own animals, deer and moose often pass through the area, and even the neighbour’s horse, who enjoys its freedom.

  • Help

    Help

We are looking for someone with common sense, a strong sense of responsibility, and a positive attitude towards everyday tasks.

The help mainly involves light outdoor tasks such as gardening, keeping paths and green areas tidy, organising materials, and assisting with general day-to-day activities related to the upkeep of the property.

Depending on the task and your preferences, there will be opportunities to work independently as well as together with us.

Workawayers will not be helping in rental cabins, nor with cleaning, maintenance, or any work related to areas used by paying guests.
All help is focused on general outdoor areas and non-commercial parts of the property.

Please note that no professional maintenance, renovation, or construction work is required.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

The cabin village is surrounded by forests and nature, with hiking trails in the area and a lake about 350 metres away. The environment is quiet and spacious, with clean air and plenty of opportunities to spend time outdoors or enjoy solitude.

A ski resort is located a few kilometres away, and the area offers outdoor activities throughout the year.

The location is rural and peaceful. A small village with a 24/7 shop is about a 5-minute drive away, and Torsby town centre is approximately a 30-minute drive. Bus connections are available from Vitsand.

Having some independence is important. We are not able to lend out our car, but you are welcome to join us on shopping trips when we go to Vitsand or Torsby, and sometimes we can offer a lift if it fits our schedule. It is also possible to get a lift to Vitsand in order to take the bus and do your own shopping.
