Description
Hi! We are a couple in our sixties, who live on a beautiful island in the scenic north of Norway with our sociable dog and two cuddly cats. We have various artistic passions, such as photography and painting. We have two bedrooms available in our house for workawayers, with a shared living area plus the rest of the house (unless you want to use the outside loo, then you can have that all to yourself haha ;D )
You can enjoy wonderful hiking, swimming in the fjord (a 5 minute walk) and all kinds of mountain and water sports in our area. Our neighbours might say we're a little bit eccentric, but good people you can have a laugh and a coffee with 🙂
We live in a traditional old style Northern Norwegian house. It's cozy and quaint, but don't expect modern luxury 🙂 Bring some woolly socks and good, sturdy shoes for hiking. We also recommend waterproof jackets and suitable clothes for the wind and changeable weather. Of course, we can also lend you some clothes for work or emergency situations. Just remember to bring good shoes, please 🙂
We understand English, though our spoken English is somewhat lacking, so we could do with some practice! We're very easy-going and don't take ourselves too seriously.

We are happy to share our language with us if you are trying to learn Norsk and at the same time we would be grateful to practice our English. We can share about Norwegian culture, Sami culture,Life in the north, exchange stories about travel and living abroad. Our neighbourhood is very friendly (some have workaways too) and it's easy to come in contact with folks on the island

We are looking for some calm and self organized nature loving folks who can help us with gardening, computers (maybe also photoshop or video editing), our pets, especially if you have experience training dogs and small general maintenance
