    Description

I am an American with a home in Ireland. Though mostly complete, I often have projects and would love help with them. I also have basic ongoing maintenance (like the Irish weeds…good heavens!). There’s always a list! Projects are mostly focused on outdoor spaces, some carpentry, and heavy lifting. If you have experience and drive with the desire to explore West Clare on the Wild Atlantic Way, one of the most beautiful areas of the country, please reach out!

I have traveled Ireland extensively and am blessed with hundreds of years of family history. I have big love for the Irish culture, people, landscape, and the history and historical sites that make up this beautiful island. I would love to host you, work with you, tour around a bit, and have you make yourself at home for the duration.

A car is certainly best, but not necessary.

The house is near Spanish point in West Clare, just between the Cliffs of Moher and the Kilkee Cliffs. The closest towns are Miltown Malbay (5 min) and Quilty (5 min), with the larger town of Ennis directly east (35 min). You will be close to both touristy sites and cultural sites, with many pubs and easy shopping. I would love to share my knowledge of the area and Ireland itself. I’m happy to tour around a bit as time allows.
I do have a young, very friendly Springer Spaniel, Aine. If you’re willing to play fetch, you’ll have made a fur friend for life!

I would absolutely love to host at my home in West Clare. I am a year in to remodeling and much has been completed, but still plenty to go!
I will have some projects both outside and inside, like removing/replacing bathroom tile, remodeling my laundry room, so carpentry skills would be excellent. Lots I can do myself and I will always work right alongside.

I can keep you busy, pass along some great places to visit, and would love the companionship. Ireland is so full of amazing history!

    What else ...

There are so many areas to explore within an hour! The more touristy ones like the Cliffs of Moher, Doolin, and the Burren, also less touristy locations full of ancient history and beauty. Stone circles, dolmens, castles, cliffs. The amazing history, both calm and wild seas, and stunning beauty all around is endless.
