  Hi,
  My name is Angela and I live on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, BC in Canada. I live about a 5 minute walk from the ocean. I believe we each can and need to contribute to creating a peaceful world that is in harmony with nature. This means building harmonious relations with all peoples. A phrase I like in this regard is building unity in diversity. As a natural outgrowth of this, we need to take care of the planet for all people and all creation. In practical terms, I frequently invite a diverse group of people to have discussions on various spiritual themes such as peace, coherence and purpose of suffering and try to foster friendships with many people. I look for ways to harmonize perspectives, respect differing viewpoints, and foster community. Regarding caring for the environment, I recycle, compost and have been involved in beach clean ups, walk or bike when possible and love being in nature. I am so blessed living in a space surrounded by nature. I have a yard and love to garden. I enjoy playing board games and reading. I volunteer at the Costume Shoppe which is connected with Driftwood Theatre.

  One of the ways you can get to know more about our community and we can get to know more about you is through any gatherings I have at me home. This is a vibrant community that has lots of artists- visual, theatrical, written and musical. In addition, the library often offers many opportunities to connect with others. If you like being in nature, there are many opportunities. I hope to get to know more about you and your hopes and aspirations.

  Help

  I'd like some help with my yard. I have a yard and need some help with planting, weeding, harvesting, getting the yard ready for the season, mowing the lawn, weed whacking, some pruning etc.. Living in this lush environment means the plants encroach on everything, so I also welcome help with getting plants out of the driveway.
  I may also need some minimal help getting things ready if I am having a gathering. This could include some meal prep, a bit of tidying or getting the table set. These gathering are groups of friends coming together.

  Accommodation

  My home is a detached home with a secondary suite on the ground floor. I live upstairs. I have two full bedrooms and a guest room. You will have your own bedroom. We share the one bathroom. I have a large kitchen , dining room and living room. I love cooking and baking. This is an activity I am happy to share, if you also like being in the kitchen. I cook both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. I can cook gluten free and often do so for friends. I live in a residential neighbourhood. We are about a 15 minute walk to some cafes and shops and 25 minute walk through forest to upper Gibsons with more shops and facilities. From my place you can reach 4 different beaches, each with their own views. . My home is alcohol, drug and tobacco free. Thus, I ask people not to use alcohol, drugs or tobacco on my premises. I also ask that people be free of the influences of alcohol and drugs when they are on my property.

  What else ...

  My health requires that I pace myself and does limit some of what I can do. When I need to rest, it is important that I do so. Even so I am quite active. You are in walking distance of many activities in Gibsons. But the Sunshine Coast is a ribbon of communities along the coast. To go exploring, there is a bus minutes from my home that can take you to many locations on the coast. I do not own a car but am a member of a car share so can access a car when needed.

  I have good internet access. You could work from your room or when I am not here the living room. We can be flexible on the time we work together as long as it is daytime.

  I have a parking spot. An extension cord could be plugged into an outside plug. I do not have water or sanitary hook-ups. I would still want my premises to be alcohol, drug and tobacco free.
