Description
I'm an American born German 61 years old woman, who has dreamed all my life of a little home in a sunny warm region near the sea. And ... here I am. I love to dance at sunrise or do some meditation, Qi Gong, or garden work before breakfast. I love to eat and love to try new dishes.
As I'm allergic against gluten I'll provide you as well with gluten free food. Mainly vegetarian but I also love fish and meat. I just try to eat less meat, to to conserve resources and respect the lives of the animals. I'll prepare one warm meal a day (or you do that instead of other work if you'd like to?), but you can just help yourself for breakfast and a snack - I'll provide enough fresh ingredients for you, to serve yourself from my huge outdoor fridge.
My husband still has to work in Germany (I'm ill and therefore in early pension) - sooo he's not able to be here for more than a vacation. That's why I'd love to have some help and company for the next few months/years.
I speak fluently English and German pretty good French and Italian, little Spanish and turkish (...lived in Istanbul for 5 years).
Sooo, I'm a really open hearted and minded person, creative, a dreamer, full of ideas for a full and fulfilled life.Types of help and learning opportunities

I'm a Globetrotter and have lived in more than 4 countries.
So, there are lots of stories and arts in my heart.
Let's be creative together, creating a little heaven in nature. I'd love to encourage you to explore your creativity in my house and country.
1 ha experimental field.
Be free.
I'm looking forward to see the realization of your dreams manifest themselves.
And ...
The Italian culture in the small towns here has embraced me with multiple cultural offers. In the evenings everybody meets at the piazza. Sometimes (mainly in summer) for cultural events or (rather in winter) just a little chat in the shade of the historic churches and old pinetrees.
And ...
I can provide practicing different languages mainly German and English.Help
As my husband can only be here partially I need a lot of help with everything:
The (new) campers parking place - we started offering our backyard to campers, to stay and park their vans and campers here. So the shared campers kitchen and bathroom needs some maintenance.
The garden - 1ha of mainly olives, wine, figs, almond and other fruit trees, lots of artichokes and in future - whatever you will help me plant...
The house - is new and there are still incredible many things to be done.
Carrying, installing and building furniture; painting, creative tiling ... or whatever comes up.
Household- help with the cleaning/cooking is anyway always wellcome. As I'm needed everywhere in the land and have two broken knees (torn ligamons) I also need your help in the household, if possible. Of course I'd never stop you from any gardening work or art project besides... 😉
In summer our main working times are between 6-13 (or even earlier) including an hour breakfast break...
3-5 hours a day, 5 days a week.
In winter I'd prefer to slow down a bit...Languages

Learning Italian is my fun right now..Accommodation
You will stay in a huge Glamping tent with two beds (140 and 90 cm wide), a table and chairs and some space for your belongings. You'll sleep in pure nature inmidst of the olives, figues and almond trees. You have a shared outdoor bathroom nearby and can use both fully equipped outdoor kitchens. You're also welcome in my house, but there is little space inside and some rooms don't have a door yet.
What else ...
I can provide 4 bikes and if necessary our second little old Italian car.
The sea and a beautiful long sand beach, but also small quiet hidden coves in a nature reserve - are a 27 min bicycle ride away, (by car: 13 min) .
The beautiful little towns San Vito dei Normanni (very original italian) Carovigno (sooo charming italiano) and Ostuni (very "touristy" but beautiful) are nearby, Brindisi as a capital city, busy and also very italiano, with plenty of cultural offers is 20 min by car and there are busses going all day long (but the busstation is about 25 min walk away)...
I'd love you to enjoy both: the rural area, silence of nature but also the lively Italian "dolce vita" on the streets on the piazza in the eveningsA little more information

I lived at Santa Lucia for about 3 weeks in December. I am the first workawayer to come this late in the season, but everything was well prepared to accommodate me. From the moment of my arrival the wonderful energy of the place hit me, which can largely be attributed to Andree's own energy too. I instantly felt welcomed and at peace, surrounded by friendly and fun people. The atmosphere cannot be understated.
