  • Description

    We are a couple running a home/ a project.
Our house is re-built up from an old wooden house of Muong people (an ethnic minority group in Vietnam) with 2 floors in apx 150 meters square, inside a big garden about 1000 meters square included a pond.
It is located in a small village in Ninh Binh district, 90km from Hanoi.
We are promoting eco lifestyle, learning to live harmoniously with nature and culture in rural areas. (We grew up in the city. Due to the fact that there are many polluted problems and pressures of job in urban life, we have decided to back and live in countryside since September 2018)
We are interested in Vietnamese tradional handcrafted techniques, so practical workshops are provided some weekends.
Our house is a part of this community that are friendly and connect each other tightly. Neighbors and children visit us every day.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

You have opportunities to understand about traditional cultures of Vietnam. Learning by doing together is our strategy for both owners and volunteers.
You could experience handicrafted tasks and learn the way people do in the tropical weather.

Landscape design for a big garden (about 2000 meters square)
Bamboo and mud construction (earth houses) for creating some bangalows.
Painting some walls in the house
    Needlework (sewing, embroidery, mend,...)
We also share a small library and playground for children here. So sometimes we may ask volunteers for teaching English or painting for children.
