    Description

Hi! I'm Sandra — a mama to an incredible, bright, and active 11-year-old daughter with Down syndrome. She is highly functional, fun-loving, and full of energy. I’m a flight attendant, which means my schedule can vary, so I’m looking for someone flexible, responsible, and nurturing to help care for her while I’m away.

I also work as an actress, voice actor, workshop facilitator, and I’ve been an empowerment coach for the past 3 years.

I’m fluent in French and English, speak good Spanish, and a bit of Greek. I value kindness, mutual respect, clear communication, and a good sense of humor. I lead a balanced, health-conscious lifestyle — I enjoy clean eating, staying active, listening to great music, and spending time in nature — and I’m hoping to find someone with similar values.

I'm looking for someone who is health-minded, a non-smoker, and leads an active and grounded lifestyle. If you’re someone who brings good energy into a home, is self-aware, and genuinely enjoys being around children, I think we’ll be a great fit.

*A minimum stay of 6 months is required, starting at the end of August 2025, to allow my daughter to build a stable, trusting connection and for you to fully settle into the rhythm of our home.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Staying with us offers a unique opportunity to experience life in a bilingual (French/English) household and be immersed in the everyday rhythm of a creative, conscious, and caring home. You’ll learn firsthand about parenting a child with special needs, while also gaining insight into positive communication, gentle discipline, and emotional resilience.

As I work in the entertainment and wellness industries, you might also get a behind-the-scenes look into the world of acting, voice work, coaching, and hosting creative workshops. If you're curious, I’m happy to share my knowledge or involve you in artistic and wellness-based projects.

You’ll have the chance to explore Montreal’s vibrant multicultural scene, enjoy amazing food, visit beautiful parks and festivals, and practice your French and English.

And — a big plus — because I’m a flight attendant, I have access to standby travel privileges, and I’d love to share some of those benefits with the right person. There may even be chances to travel with us from time to time!

Whether you’re looking to grow personally, learn about child development, discover a new culture, or simply experience a grounded and intentional way of living — there’s so much here to take in, explore, and enjoy.

  • Help

    Help

I’m looking for someone kind, reliable, and full of energy to help care for my daughter when I travel. She’s in school during the week, so tasks include:

Putting her on the bus at 8:30 AM and picking her up at 4:30 PM

Afternoon and evening care until bedtime around 8:30 PM

Preparing healthy meals and school lunches

    Helping with homework and bathing

Keeping the house clean and organized while I’m away

My daughter is bright, funny, and full of life — but like many kids her age (and especially those with Down syndrome), she can also be strong-willed and a bit stubborn at times. She may try to push boundaries, so it’s important that you’re comfortable holding firm, staying calm, and not easily swayed. Clear boundaries and consistency help her thrive, and she responds best to someone who is both loving and confident.

Because of my flight schedule, working hours aren’t a regular 9–5. I always have my schedule a month in advance, so you’ll have plenty of notice and can plan your free time accordingly. Some weeks I’m away for 1–3 days, others I might be home for 5.

    🌟 What I’m Looking For
    A non-smoker, not a big partier

Someone independent, respectful, clean, and organized

A positive, active, and autonomous person who can confidently run the household while I’m away

Someone loving but firm — who can hold clear boundaries and not give in too easily, especially when my daughter tests limits

Previous experience with children or special needs is a big plus

Willingness to provide references is required

    Accommodation

I live in a clean and bright 3-bedroom upper duplex in a peaceful residential area. The space is filled with soft whites and grays, and we aim to keep it calm, tidy, and welcoming. While the home is not modern, it has a lot of character and charm — a cozy, lived-in feel that people tend to really enjoy.

You'll have your own private bedroom and access to everything you need.

The neighborhood is about 20 minutes by car or 45 minutes by bus to downtown. We do share the building with neighbors below, so being respectful of noise is appreciated.

Everything is included — food, accommodation, and a warm, supportive space to call home.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

I believe in kindness, respect, and good energy — and I’m looking for someone who shares those values. A positive attitude and grounded presence go a long way in creating a peaceful and happy home. I’ll do my best to make sure you feel comfortable, included, and supported during your stay — and I’d be happy to show you around the city when I can!

I love good food, music, movement, and meaningful conversations. For me, it’s all about balance and a healthy lifestyle, and I’m hoping to find someone who also enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, and living mindfully. Since I work from home when I’m not flying, I’d appreciate someone who’s independent and enjoys getting out to explore, rather than staying indoors all the time.

In your free time, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to enjoy Montreal’s incredible cultural life — museums, festivals, music, cafés, yoga studios, parks, and more. We’re in a quiet residential area, about 20 minutes by car or 45 minutes by bus to downtown. Public transit is easily accessible, and there are local shops, trails, and green spaces nearby.

I want your experience here to be more than just a stay — but a meaningful cultural exchange, filled with connection, growth, and exploration.

Looking forward to connecting and creating something beautiful together!
    —Sandra
