Description
Hi! I’m Veronica and I live with my 16-year-old son, David, and our friendly cat in a beautiful Federation-style home in Mosman, Sydney. We’re looking for someone kind and reliable to live with us and support David — a bright, gentle teen with high-functioning autism — with his before/after school routine, light household tasks, and occasional outings like walks or going to the gym. You’ll have your own private room, all meals covered, and weekly pocket money, with plenty of free time during the day and weekends. We’re just a walk from Balmoral Beach and local cafes, and we often have friends drop in, so the house has a warm, social vibe. If you’re looking for a meaningful placement in a caring household, we’d love to welcome you into our family!

We love meeting people from different backgrounds and believe there’s so much to learn from sharing daily life together. You’ll become part of our family while you’re here — sharing meals, chats, walks to the beach, and relaxed evenings at home. We have a steady stream of friends and neighbours who drop in, so there are always opportunities to connect. I’d love to learn more about your culture, language, and experiences, and in return I’m happy to share what life is like in Australia — from local hidden gems to how we live day-to-day in a family with a neurodivergent teen. It’s a beautiful part of Sydney and there’s always something to explore nearby!

Help
We’re looking for someone warm, kind, and reliable to live with us and help support my 16-year-old son, David, who has high-functioning autism. Your help would mostly involve assisting with his morning and after-school routine — making sure he’s ready for school, and being home when he returns in the afternoon. He’s very independent but enjoys having someone around who can offer gentle encouragement and companionship.
You’d also help with some light housework like laundry, tidying up, and simple meal prep. Some afternoons, you might take David to the gym, beach, or for a walk. I’m around most of the time too, so we’ll often share the load and keep things relaxed and flexible. This is a home where you’ll be treated like part of the family, not like staff — and you’ll have plenty of time off during the day and on weekends to explore or unwind.Languages

You’ll have your own clean, cosy and private bedroom in our family home — a classic Federation-style house in beautiful Mosman. All meals are provided, and you’re very welcome to join us for dinner or help yourself to breakfast and lunch from the kitchen. We’re relaxed and flexible — happy to work around your preferences, dietary needs, and routines. Our home is safe, peaceful, and only a short walk from beaches, cafes, and public transport.
