  Non-profit Art Centre – in Joutsa, Finland
  
  We are a small international, non -profit art centre and artist residency in Joutsa, Finland
  In DIY-mentality, recycling and upcycling meet wild artistic ideas!
  Its the country side funky season when we are preparing for the annual summer exhibition.
  We are having international artists in residency working over the whole summer.
  
  We are looking for:
  people who are interested in art and culture and life in a village in the finnish country side
  people who like hands on tasks like gardening, building stuff, painting stuff, helping out artists.
  and also we need people who also can do basic cleaning, vegan cooking, and taking care of each other
  people who love to sit on camp fire and sing and play music together
  people who have their eyes open for keeping places tidy

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  We are a creative community with international & local people, artists and cultural workers. As we also run an artist residency in the premises here is usually many interesting people helping on their projects. Sauna is heated twice a week for the community.
  
  We have a cat living in the house.

  Help

  We are looking for help with snow shoveling in the mornings, restoring and maintaining the sculptures of the art collection with the help of the landlord, gardening in the spring time together with the garden team and installing artworks outdoors. There is always need for a DIY type of people for different kind of tasks around the house and garden.

  Accommodation

  The workaways will be accomodated in a single or double room in the same house as the artists in residence. We have a big shared kitchen and living room which is the heart of the house . We have lunch or dinner together, depending on the project going on.

  there is a lot of forests, lakes, and rather beautiful nature within walking distance. Its not rare to see the northern lights from our garden. We have bikes, snow shoes and skies for communal use. And we always have coffee :)
