  • Description

We are JP and Kelly, a Swiss-Canadian well-traveled couple located in Mallorca on a farm near Algaida, 15 minutes car from the airport and the beautiful capital Palma.

For 15 years, we have been managing our no-profit association, animal sanctuary and mentoring center. We are making an exciting transformation now to include a Healing and Learning Center, to help people, especially teens and parents, to navigate their life issues with the help of a team qualified professionals and volunteers.

We apply a series of interactive workshops, using different coaching methods such as HeartMath, healing through animals and nature, yoga, art therapy, mindfulness, meditation, as well as hosting events with renowned spiritual and healing leaders of our time.

Besides the no-profit project and all its creative energy, running the farm with permaculture gardens, feeding areas, and animal care, requires a routine with several tasks that are easy to learn but still fundamental.

If you have experience as a farmer: we will train you to learn how to meet our needs and those of our beloved animals who are of course part of the family: 1 dog, 2 horses, 3 ponies, 2 sheep, 3 goats, and a large community of cats - currently 21 plus 3 in the little cottage dedicated to workawayers- ( for more info about accommodation keep reading below)

We would love to enhance our web-social life, so as to be better connected to the locals and to the international community while promoting our sanctuary and the Healing and Learning Centre. We have ideas in mind and some social pages are already set up, but are in need of more content.

We are in need of :

    1) A farmer or better saying: an energetic "handyman" who can take care of the full routine: animal care, seeding and gardening, general cleaning, wood maintenance, and small house maintenance tasks.

    2) A farmer-creative or better saying: a web-enthusiastic creative in love with nature, such as:

    - Photographers and videographers to shoot and edit photos and videos to turn into content- we have some decent cameras you can borrow but better if you have your good one-

-Content creators with storytelling copy and visual skills to help us to build and upload genuine content so to enhance our profiles on Facebook and Instagram.
We would love to set a profile and we are thinking to move our content from WordPress to another more intuitive program.

NOTE: In both cases, it's not necessary for you to be an expert in horse riding or professional horse caring, but would certainly be a plus if you are so to share also extra knowledge; in this case, we would appreciate it if you are curious about natural horsemanship, as this is our philosophy.

We put all our heart into transferring all necessary knowledge to run the farm (and also in learning from you new skills to improve our web life!!!) but this requires a bit of training time to enter into a routine -normally 2 weeks-.

Considering this we will give priority to workawayers who will have a 1 MONTH AVAILABILITY OR MORE -3 months would be the top!*- and that will be happy either to take full charge of the farm -5 h per day, 5 days per week maximum- or to creatives who want to develop a step of our design project for social, adding their own creatives ideas and also carrying part of the daily farm task always according to experience and body type- we do not want anybody to get harmed nor work-sick! (in ex. 2.5 daily hours cleaning and gardening + 2.5 hours discussing designs, web work or editing, etc.)

We are here to enjoy and create a beautiful place on Mother Earth! We really believe in our dream project, and are willing to involve whoever is meeting all needs while being happy in our path to rescue animals and help people to rehab through their healing energy!

We are not veg nor vegan, but happy to support your own diet providing you with pocket money, so to allow you to come with us weekly to the supermarket and respect your own diet doing your own shopping and cooking - when Kelly is not cooking for all, and that's depends on her schedules, sometimes she can make it, others she is super busy.

A lovely independent cottage. It is independent of the main house inside the farm, a few meters far but very private and cozy and wi-fy works very well. It has a single and a double room, so it can host up to 3 adult workawayers, and is provided with full amenities and 3 fluffy friendly cats you will take care of. A romantic wood-burning stove is there to warm your evening in winter and you are welcome to use it if you have some experience or basic training in fire prevention -if not better use the electrical heater or the airconditioning unit-. We would appreciate respecting the no-smoke environment (the farm is full of hay around and we need to behave properly for basic safety reasons).

We do love kids and are planning to dedicate part of our workshops to very young ages but due to the nature of the job, involving a delicate pre-existing residential animal ecosystem and a busy day-to-day routine with the center, we would prefer not to host workawayers traveling with kids and their own pets.

The bus stop to connect to Palma and its surroundings is 20-30 minutes walking distance away, we can provide you with a bike, and if you inform us a bit before we can organize to take you and pick you up at the bus stop.

We collect you and drop you back at the airport providing flight times BETWEEN 7 A.M. AND 10 P.M. (if not taxis are available for you to book privately).

Please go to the sections below to get more details but if you arrived to read till here, good! We are very grateful for your attention! So if you did read till here please type:

on your presentation message, so we are sure you get all the important basic info and we can start discussing your stay with us!

Please also type which role you are keen to take 1 the -farmer-farmer or 2 the farmer-creative, and please be specific with the background creative skills you want to share, better choosing from those written in the details below, so we can better organize our step-by-step exciting project and create the best life experience for all!

Looking forward to hear from you!

A big smile and always follow your heart!

    JP and Kelly

This experience on our beautiful farm in the countryside will give you the chance to learn new skills in animal care, permaculture, and healing techniques.

You will learn a lot about the Spanish culture in your free time: there are a lot of "Caminos" -walking streets- to explore the surroundings and get healthy walks or bike rides, the beaches are nearby or go hiking and shoot pictures of the enchanting panorama while enjoying a picnic.

All animals are rescued and we welcome you to participate in a path of pure respect for nature and all living creatures. For sure you will benefit from the special atmosphere we have created and continue to nurture with the generosity of all workawayers and friends.

We look forward to meet you!

Clean the horses and the ponies' paddocks and later on walk them -not ride- to the "day area" that will be prepared -refill water- If you have extra time groom and brush them.

    From 10.00 to 13.00
Gardening (watering or seeding, trimming trees...uh, the finca is big!)
Easy housework and maintenance (in ex. repairing some windows or brushing some terraces)
Chopping trees (if you know how to do it yourself or you will need to help JP in doing it and learn it. Mind that this task requires good force in arms and muscles!)
Property maintenance in ex. renovating and painting

HORSES: in case you are an expert in horse-caring, you can clean their hoves, shower and ride them in our natural style-but you need high-level horse-riding skills and proof of your own extended travel insurance.

Of course, we need to fix some little rules to live here, mostly coming from good common sense for example:

We would appreciate respecting the no-smoke environment.

Considering that we often host tours and guests, we would ask you to keep your accommodate clean and tidy at all times.
