Hi, I'm Lina! I'm a 29-year-old Australian from a small coastal town in New South Wales, where most of my happiest moments happen outdoors, swimming, camping, surfing and walking my dog Mouse along the beach. I'm easygoing, curious and genuinely love meeting new people and learning from them.

I've just finished my Master of Science Communication, and I'm travelling as a way of marking that milestone, stepping out into the world with fresh eyes and an open heart.

I chose Workaway because I want more than just sightseeing. I want to live slowly, exchange cultures, share meals and learn a little of the language wherever I go. Italy holds a special place for me, my mother's family is Italian, and I'm eager to reconnect with that heritage and deepen my Italian.

I spent ten years working as a cook before moving into science communication and food is truly my love language. I'm happiest when I'm feeding people and sharing a table. I've also worked as a nanny and a cleaner, so I'm comfortable rolling up my sleeves and doing whatever needs doing. I take pride in working hard and doing things properly.

I love to read (an epic fantasy is my weakness), I write and I'm a natural communicator. I'm eager to learn new skills, particularly gardening, and I'd love any opportunity to work with animals. I grew up riding horses and that connection has never really left me.
