Description
I'm a government translator and interpreter based in the heart of Jambi City.
In addition to my full-time job, I run a small English class at home. My students come from all walks of life and enjoy practicing English with people from around the world. I often invite guests to join our classes and share their stories and experiences. I also teach English at local public schools and frequently invite friends to speak with my students—these sessions are always a hit and greatly benefit both my students and the guests.
If you visit, you’ll stay at my home, with a private room with air conditioning and a bathroom. You're welcome to do your own work and spend time at a small but cozy coffee shop I run with my friends—it's a great spot to meet people and relax. You can also help me redecorate my home, which could really use some organizing (I have a bit too much stuff!).
When we’re not teaching or exploring the city, we can play tennis together. I’d also love to take you to Southeast Asia’s largest Buddhist temple complex and introduce you to the rich flavors of our local cuisine.

I stayed in Jambi for almost a week and learned so much about Indonesia and all its habits.
Even though Lukman wasn't there, his friend Fauzan hosted me as if I was family.
He showed me around in the city and taught me a lot.
I have to admit that I was a bit overwhelmed by everything, it was my first week in Indonesia and… read more
