Hi, my name is Slamet and I live in Kalianyar village
I am welcoming workers to come to my village to share my way of life, help me develop local tourism. If possible give some English practicing
*️️️️️️️️️️️️we need volunteer who able to stay at least 1 week
*️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️For help with the tourism program, preferably people with experience in marketing, eco-tourism, tour guide, environment, website building, promoting, non-profit management.
*️️️️We are also need volunteer who has knowledge, skill and experience about recycling
While staying with me in addition to getting to experience small village life in a place that isn’t over-developed for tourism, you will also have the chance to experience some of the following things: cooking staple east Javanese dishes, visiting the local markets, seeing the batik cloth making process up close, visiting pottery making studios and black smithing bellows, night food market in Bondowoso, local statues/memorials and other local points of interest around my village. We have bikes that we can day-loan to the adventurous after we have showed them around a bit. In addition, this opportunity also allows you to informally practice the "Bahasa Indonesia" language as most villagers only know a little bit of English, so you teach them and they teach you as well!
Given my experience as a tour guide to nearby points of interest like Ijen Volcano Crater (sunrise treks, volcano surfur lakes, and blue fire) and Gunung (Mt) Bromo, I can give you lots of information on how to cheaply arrange to visit these places without buying relatively expensive packages in Bali, Probolingo, or Yogja. This is at no cost to you; this information is always freely given to my guests. If you do prefer to have some sort of tour guide, then I can arrange one for you through the local tourism office.
*️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️Important! This is a small village, so please be respectful in your clothing (no shorty shorts or skimpy mid-driff showing tops, or spaghetti strap tops, but regular shorts and tank tops are ok). NONE of my guests have had problems before, but I wouldn’t want anyone to be surprised.
Not especially difficult to get to or out of the way because my village is along the path between major points of interest on Java island, so most people go from Yogja to Mt Bromo to Ijen Crater to Bali . You would simply stop over for a few days or a few weeks in Kalianyar!
From Bali, you take the bus heading to Surabaya and get off at Situbondo. From here you transfer to another bus going to Bondowoso.
From Probolingo, you take the bus to Bondowoso.
From Yogja you take the bus to Probolingo.
From Jakarta, you take the bus to Surabaya and then take a bus to Situbondo.
Usually I am able to directly pick up workawayers from the Bondowoso bus station, but if not, there is a small bus that goes to Kalianyar.
If you have any questions, comments or anything feel free to message me for more details.
