Description
Hey, I'm Emma from Germany and I love to travel. I signed up for workaway to travel the world during my gap year because i think it's not only budget-friendly but also perfect to get to know another country by meeting people from there and gaining new experiences aside from typical tourist attractions because that is the best way to learn about the world.
I love learning and I'm interested in a range of different topics, for example geography and demograpics or fashion or politics. In my free time I love to do creative hobbies like art and sewing and I participate in my town's youth group.
I'm looking forward to my trip to South America this October to December and would love to take other opportunities as well. -

I'd love to improve my French, Spanish and Portugese skills while traveling and happy to provide help if anyone is looking to practice speaking German as it's my first language. I studied French in school for four years and can understand many texts, but unfortunately I don't have much experience with speaking French which I want to improve. As for Spanisch and Portugese, I've tried to learn these languages by myself so I can communicate during traveling and I would love to improve my skills there, too. :) -

I've worked at a bakery shop and an ice cream café before and aside from the work experience I gained there, I have learned to create posters and other designs for different events like my graduation party.
My hobbies include arts and crafts and therefore I have a couple of different skills like painting or basic sewing. I also like to document my travels in the form of video blogs.
I'm fluent in German and fairly fluent in English and have a basic knowledge of French, Spanish and Portugese. -

What else ...
As mentioned before, I am interested in a bunch of different topics like Chinese history (currently thinking about going on to do China Studies at University) or city planning and I've tried out many different art methods and creative hobbies like lino cut or making jewellery. I also like to cook and bake new recipes and try to keep fit by cycling, swimming and doing home workouts. Overall, I'm looking forward to learning any new skills and trying out new things.
