Description
Welcome all of you here 🌱
Hello, I am Rabindra and here I am living alone on my farm.
About my place where we believe that nature provides all we need for a healthy and meaningful life.
My dream is to live in deep connection with the Earth, respecting her fully and creating a simple, sustainable lifestyle that we can share with others.
🏡I began this journey on 14 August 2025, after years of living in Kathmandu and abroad. Coming back to the mountains where we grew up, we felt the call to reconnect with our roots. Through permaculture principles, regenerative farming, and community life, we want to nurture this land and contribute to a change toward sustainability.
🗺️My farm is located about 40 minutes from Tansen, and 4 hours from Pokhara, surrounded by forest, rice terraces, waterfalls and fresh mountain air.
🦌🐓🦅Wildlife is part of our daily life, deer, porcupines, forest chickens, many birds and our land is full of edible wild plants and fruit trees.
🥒🌽🌶️I cultivate lentils, potatoes, beans, ginger, vegetables, berries, and wild herbs, always without pesticides and only using our own compost. Everything here is in motion, a young project with big dreams.✨

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Staying with us means experiencing real rural Nepal. You can learn and share about:
•👨🏽🍳Traditional Nepali cooking and meals prepared together.
•🍃Wild foraging: discovering edible and medicinal plants in the forest.
•👨🏽🌾 Permaculture, regenerative farming and natural composting.
•🛖 Eco-building: our mud house was built with the help of other Workawayers, using earth and grass.
•🎨 Creative expression: we love when people bring their art, music, or new ideas to the farm.
We believe in mutual exchange. We share our culture, traditions and connection to the land, and we are always open to learn from others who walk the same path of sustainability.
This is a place for those who want to reconnect with the Earth, live simply, and be part of a small community that believes in nature as our greatest teacher.
Help
Depending on the season and what is happening on the farm, help may include:
•🪴Planting, gardening, weeding and harvesting.
• Preparing compost and practicing natural fertilization.
• 🥗Helping in the kitchen with vegetarian Nepali meals.
• 🍓Collecting wild fruits and herbs.
• 🛖Contributing to eco-building projects.
• 🎨Sharing your art, creativity, and new sustainable ideas.
We ask for around 4–5 hours a day, usually split between morning and afternoon. We are not strict about schedules – the work follows the rhythm of the land.

Accommodation
I live in a simple mud house that we built with love and community support. Volunteers will stay in a minimal but cozy room with a mosquito net.
We provide 3 vegetarian meals a day, with fresh vegetables from the garden, wild herbs, and some tea break with Nepali Chai Tea. No meat is served.
Our water comes directly from a natural spring, and we have electricity and internet. Life here is basic, but close to nature and very peaceful
What else ...
In your free time, you can:
•🏞️ Explore waterfalls, rice terraces and mountain trails nearby.
•🏘️ Join local village life and learn more about Nepali traditions.
•🧘🏽♂️ Relax in the fresh forest air, meditate, or simply enjoy the silence.
•💃🏽 Cook together, share music, dance or create art.
