Availability in May: May is surf season in Torquay....

Hi, I'm Lisa. Me and my partner, Stu live in Torquay, the 'capital' of Victoria's beautiful surf coast. We're both in our 60's and like to keep active and busy with gardening, walking, adventure travel and currently, doing some home improvements and and projects around the garden, which we would like some help with. The house is a modern and spacious eco-design beach house, with a lovely outdoor area to relax in and a small but extensive organic veggie garden with some fruit trees and a small native garden.

I'm a business administrator who works from home. I love walking our gorgeous coastal walks, gardening and swimming in the ocean. Stu is a novelist and a keen surfer. If you surf he can show you the local surf breaks.

We both love to travel and experience different cultures and also meet people from all over the world who come to stay. We love to cook and enjoy new culinary experiences and sharing a nice wine and conversation with our guests.

There will plenty of time to surf, and enjoy the beach and the unique surf culture of Torquay. The house is fairly close to the beach (about 20 min walk) and we have bicycles available for guests to use. Bells Beach is only 15 min drive away and Torquay is the gateway to the world famous Great Ocean Road. Torquay is a classic surf town - with the Bells Beach Classic surf contest held here every Easter, and fabulous scenic coast walks. The town also has a vibrant café and restaurant culture and lots of nice swimming beaches.

We're looking for one person or a couple, ideally with 'green thumbs' to help with the garden and routine household chores - possibly some minor renovations inside and maybe a garden shed in the back yard. It would be great if you have some experience with gardening and/or handyman/woman type tasks, but experience is not necessary as the tasks a generally pretty straight-forward
