    Description

    Hello and Yasou 🌿

Welcome to my little summer house in Paltsi, Greece. I spend time here throughout the year, depending on my schedule, and use this place to slow down, recharge and enjoy a simpler, more grounded way of living. The house is very off-grid, surrounded by nature, with plenty of quiet, open space and little infrastructure – a place for people who feel comfortable being close to nature and away from busy towns. I’m happy to share this peaceful corner of Pelion with kind, curious and respectful people.

I’m Giselle, originally from Germany and self-employed in PR, Marketing & Communications. I live between London and Greece, and my laptop usually travels with me. I enjoy working and being focused, but when I’m in Greece, I consciously unwind. Life here is a balance between work and slowing down – spending time outdoors, doing sports, meeting friends, being in the garden or taking care of the house.

I’m a naturally curious person, and for me, Workaway is not only about finding help, but also about meeting people, sharing everyday life and exchanging perspectives for a while.

    What I’m looking for 2026

The type of help and living situation depends on whether I’m on site or not. Please read the sections below carefully.

➤ End of April 24 – End of June 24 (off-season, shared daily life) 🌱

➝ Quiet and mostly warm pre-season
➝ I’ll be at the house during this period and looking for ONE FEMALE PERSON 25+ to help with household tasks and errands while I work (wfh or office), so we share the house and everyday life.
➝ Think cooking, cleaning, organising, and getting the house ready for summer. Laundry and grocery shopping take forever, so I’d love a hand from someone reliable and independent.
➝ Garden work is optional, depending on your interest and weather
➝ Accommodation and meals are provided
➝ Around 4–5 hours per day, flexible Monday to Friday
➝ I’m on site for guidance, shared meals and occasional outings
    ➝ Minimum stay: 2 weeks

    ➝ Driving licence & hands-on attitude required
➝ Good organisation, important – I usually keep to myself while working or out, don't like micromanaging
➝ Transport: car might be available; scooter always available for experienced drivers
➝ Ideal for: those who want to be off the beaten path, enjoy reading 📚, walks & hikes 🚶‍♀️🏞️, beach trips (1.5km from my house, still chilly at this time), meditation 🧘‍♀️, yoga, or other outdoor activities
➝ Please read full info about the house and area before contacting, looking forward to meet you 🙂

➤ From late June onwards (summer, project-based & independent) ☀️

➝ I’m not on site during this period, so you’ll have the house to yourselves.
➝ Ideal for COUPLES, FAMILIES or independent helpers 30+
➝ Help is more project-based: 2026 season’s focus: garden work, clearing land, terraces, and outdoor tasks
➝ Own transport essential; scooter may be available for experienced drivers
➝ Minimum stay recommended: 1 month
➝ Best suited for people who enjoy nature, independence, and summer life in Pelion

    Location

➤ Remote and peaceful, only a few summer houses; off-season almost empty
➤ Privacy: one neighbour ~30 m away, otherwise very quiet
➤ Terrain: hilly valley with olive groves, forest, small river; no paved road
➤ Beach: 1.5 km to Paltsi Beach – small, peaceful, natural bay, more beaches nearby
➤ Lifestyle: slow, relaxed; ideal for hiking, reading, yoga, swimming, meditation, everything beach, tanning, slow living, enjoying time to yourself
➤ Summer life: slightly more social, tavernas open; but far from mass tourism
➤ Off-grid: limited WiFi (approx. 6 hours per day, please don't bring large devices), solar power – self-sufficiency required

    The House

➤ Bedrooms: 2 (upstairs & downstairs), upstairs bedroom has big comfy bed
    ➤ Bathroom: 1 shared indoor + outdoor showers 🚿
➤ Living & kitchen: open plan, basic kitchen, simple countertops
➤ Electricity: minimal – no fridge; solar power provides about 6 hours WiFi / charging per day
➤ Laundry can be done in Argalasti; cooler box available for food ❄️
➤ Outdoor areas: terraces, rooftop terrace, garden
➤ Status: small, rustic, sparsely furnished; renovations ongoing but quite comfortable
➤ Equipment: garden tools, kitchen utensils, hammock, yoga mats, SUP & snorkelling gear, books, games

    For Workawayers

➤ Self-organisation required – especially transport is important (car/scooter) essential 🛵. Airports in Thessaloniki, Volos, Athens, Public Transport stops in Argalasti (14km to Paltsi)
➤ Ideal for those who enjoy slow living, nature, and a peaceful, private environment
➤ Being informed about the area and lifestyle ensures a well-organised, enjoyable experience
➤ I am happy to share more info, photos, and plan a call – I will be in February to go through everything and plan for the year

Looking forward to welcoming you, please get in touch if you have any questions or are interested ✨
    Giselle

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Experiencing authentic Greek village life and local customs. Engaging with the international community in the area. Learning about natural and simple living with basic amenities. Exploring the South Pelion region and its traditions. Cultural exchange with me (German living there and in London). You will be in a very remote area, meaning everything takes longer, slows you down and for some things you have to get creative. In summer, everything revolves around the beach, also because of the heat, but I have put together a little travel guide with tips for discovering the region that I am happy to share with you.

The house is located in a very rural area, surrounded by forests, olive trees, and a river, with abundant sunshine. You’re close to nature here. There is no public transport, so it's essential that you either bring your own car, feel comfortable driving a scooter, or are happy spending most of your time around the house, village, and beach. It's not busy but there are definitely more people here in the summer months, so you can maybe ride with neighbours or make new friends. The transportation problem is well known here, and people are open-minded.

The house itself has around 70 m² of living space, plus a bit more outdoor area with showers, terraces, and a garden. It’s minimalist and open in design, simple but cosy, and situated 1.5 km from the beach. In summer, (July and August) the beach area is a bit livelier – perfect if you want a change of pace once in a while. Houses in the area are hidden, detached, and surrounded by large gardens.

    - Two bedrooms: Downstairs bedroom: Private, quiet, and fully darkenable. Small Bed. Upstairs loft bedroom: Bright and airy, with access to a sunny rooftop terrace. Big Bed.
    - A pretty simple kitchen setup (currently without dishwasher or washing machine; laundry service nearby), but cooking is possible. During summer months we eat a lot of salads, veggies, fruits,...
    - Living room, small bathroom (open in design, note: outdoor showers!), Outdoor seating areas.

Amenities are basic but fully functional: Limited solar-powered electricity, very Simple gas stove, Occasional Wi-Fi availability.

I like the house clean, fresh, and pleasant. The minimalist style makes it ideal for 2-3 people seeking a comfortable yet simple summer stay. Renovations and improvements are ongoing.

I f you'd like more Infos, I am happy to share my House- and Travel guide with you after a call.

    Can host digital nomads

So yes – digital nomads can stay, as long as they’re prepared for limited connectivity and a very nature-focused, off-grid lifestyle. Limited solar power; WiFi and device charging available about 6 hours per day at the house. Nomads need to plan around this.
