Description
Hey! We’re a relaxed vegan couple in a 2-bedroom cabana in Palomino, Colombia, and we’d love one free-spirited volunteer to stay with us in exchange for whatever help you feel like giving—no hard hours, just genuine kindness.
++ A bit about the "help"
- Stay in a private bedroom in our rustic cabana (kitchen access + basic groceries shared)
- Help as you can: cooking simple vegan meals, grabbing groceries, hanging with our friendly dog, or lending a hand on my girlfriend’s almost-finished art-house nearby
- Chill vibes only - no minimum hours, but we'd love to get your help!!
++ Perks of Palomino
- Swim, kayak or float down the wild Palomino River
- Surf small waves or catch a yoga class on the beach
- Hike into lush jungle trails and waterfalls
- Discover local vegan cafés, artisan markets, live music on the sand
- Wi-Fi - but heads up: power cuts happen, so offline time’s a bonus!
About us
I’m a surfer/web-dev on a tight budget and deadline, my girlfriend's an artist finishing her house, and our doggy loves company. We believe in kindness as currency—no big expectations, just good vibes and teamwork.Types of help and learning opportunities

I've travelled to many countries (mostly for surfing) and I'm happy to share story, teach you my languages, knowledge and skills with you. I'd be happy to teach you surfing (if you have/rent a board), all I know about permaculture, I can teach you my style of yoga, and give you meditation and breathwork lessons as I do most of these things on a daily basis.
My culture is not defined by nationality, it's the culture of giving (gift culture), so I'm delighted to share this and the knowledge about it with you and the world. Coming here means you're welcomed as my house mate & friend, not as my laborer or worker-in-exchange-for-anything. I prefer hosting people that show their interest in the gift culture, people that are excited to learn and grateful to receive. Receiving gratitude is the greatest gift for me and in that way I'm driven by making people happy.
Equally I'd be happy to hear about your visions for life, what motivates you and makes life more wonderful for you!Help
You’ll jump in wherever you feel most excited - whether that’s cooking simple vegan meals in our open-air kitchen, heading out to pick up groceries, going for walks or chilling with our doggy Kyamani, or lending a hand with light manual tasks at my girlfriend’s nearly finished art-house. There’s no rigid schedule—but we count on your initiative and good vibes, helping me stay on track with a demanding web-dev deadline and my girlfriend with finishing up her house.

I can teach English (I have a TEFL certificate) and I'm sure I could somehow manage to help you with German.Accommodation
Stay in your own private bedroom in our rustic cabana, with shared kitchen access and basic groceries shared (we're happy to share but also don't have the most money right now, so it'd be cool if you contribute!). Our Wi-Fi’s decent when the power’s on (and when it isn’t, it’s the perfect excuse for hammock time).
What else ...
There's some trails, a river, and lots of nature around. Palomino is a busy tourist town and you can go there by foot (5min) and explore. We live a few minutes away, but still in a neighborhood.

Apart from the much needed rest that his location and responsibly disconnected lifestyle provided me with, Daniel also managed to teach me a lot through conversation and practice.
