Our experience with Simon was very positive. He was immediately interested in interacting with us and was always smiling and positive. It was nice to chat and spend free time together; he was able to interact with both us adults and the kids.
He has an excellent spirit of adaptation.
It was nice to see that he wanted to attend our family
… read more activities, play board games after dinner, a way to practice English and also to have fun!
After meals he always helped us clear the table and tidy up the kitchen.
He easily adapted to our rhythms, our activities, our proposals.
Simon is a reliable, brilliant and open-minded guy. We hope to meet him again in the future!

I had a wonderful experience in Turin with Rafaella, Francesco, Carlo and Filippo. From the outset the entire family was incredible warm and welcoming and made me feel right at home. Over my two week stay I had so many unforgettable experiences. From making gnocchi with Carlo and Filippo's nonna, cycling around the famous and stunning Barolo wine
… read more region, making fresh napoli style pizza, playing all sorts of sports (in particular futsal) and games (world guessr and cards) with everyone, to visiting the iconic sites of Rome with the family. It was a pleasure trying to help them to improve English as it often involved interesting conversations or fun games. Filippo and Carlo are both very smart and funny boys and are always up for a game or a good conversation, I will miss them for sure. During the day I had lots of free time to explore Turin and the surrounding areas which has so much to offer and is a very beautiful city. I was treated to a wide range of delicious food during my stay and I very much enjoyed every meal. I also loved getting to meet a number of their friends and learn more about the Italian culture and their interests. Overall I am very grateful for how kind and generous the entire family was to me throughout my stay. They were always smiley and I am definitely keen to go back to Turin soon.

We had a very good experience with Joel in October , we spent togheter all the day during weekends sharing nice experiences and speaking English to improve our knowledge of the language .
He adapted easily to our habits ,our food and he partecipated in the proposed activities with enthusiasm .
It was nice and useful to play board games together
… read more after dinner during the week to learn new words .
Conversations about football and sports with our teenage boys were a pleasant and not boring activity to practice English.

I stayed with the family for one month, and wow it was such an amazing time that I had in Turin. There was a very good balance between having personal time to explore the surroundings and historic downtown Turin areas, as well as having a lot of time to speak with and connect with Raffaela and Francesco, as well as Carlo and Fillipo. They treated

They also took me to their breathtaking little property in the Alps nearby, as well as showing me the local wine-country, a Juventus game, as well as the local professional basketball team. It was really a blessing to be able to experience so much of the Turin/Piedmont culture in such a short 4 weeks. I couldn't have asked for any better food, hospitality, and conversation from this lovely family.

Wow, it is hard to put into words how special this family is and the wonderful experience I shared with them, everyone made me feel totally welcome, including all the lovely family and friends that I met during my time. It was a total joy to help them improve their English in a fun and natural way, and inspiring to see them make such great
… read more progress. They have a lovely home, I had a big room with a desk, and we ate some wonderful food together thanks to the Nonnas and their excellent cooking, together we made; gnocchi, tiramisu, pizza, fresh pasta - a beautiful and delicious experience. The family are super flexible and fun, I had the mornings free to go and explore the city and during the weekends we went out together; to nearby vineyards on a bike trip, to watch the guys play football, to cafes (and even a trip to Brandizzo ;)), I even made a few appearances for their 5-aside team! This was a difficult place to leave, I have so many special memories, you will be very lucky to spend some time with this wonderful family. You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Our first experience with Workaway was exciting thanks to Jimmy! He is a very helpful, smiling and kind guy with whom we spent many pleasant and fun moments improving our English!
Our children are still sad for his departure because they have grown fond of him and nostalgically remember the afternoon English games and times together.
He was very

Jimmy has been able to adapt with flexibility to our rhythms and habits , his company is very pleasant and he is able to chat with everyone ( children, teenagers, parents, grandparents ) naturally .
Jimmy is very polite and respectful, behaves discreetly and is pleasant in company .
In a short time we became attached and felt like a big extended family with simplicity.
We would be very happy if he come back to Turin for another month next spring!Feedback
