    Description

We are an English-speaking husband and wife team who love projects! We have lived in the USA all of our lives but have traveled extensively around the globe. While on an anniversary trip in 2019 we fell in love with Mallorca and the seed was planted for us to buy our home on the island. We enjoy good food, wine, hiking, beach time and getting to know our Mallorcan neighbors. Our life is full of love and family - we have 4 adult children and 2 teenage Grandchildren, all currently living in the United States. Located in the medieval village of Capdepera, our traditional Mallorcan home was once an Olive Oil Mill dating back to 1832. Called "Sa Tafona", it is located within a 5-minute walk from the town center and an amazing Castle that you can tour. There are festivals and open markets going on every week. Our life here is not complicated, but is a simply, honest and authentic experience. We'll happily share it with you while you're here.

World travelers, we'd love to share our stories and experience and hear about yours! Here on the island, there are museums, cathedrals, art exhibits, local festivals every week. The people are friendly and love it when you're curious. Julia is a fabulous and adventuresome cook, and she'll share what she has learned about the Mallorcan cuisine with you. If you're up for it, you may find yourself as the sous chef ;) When working on our projects, we get the work done together, but have a great time doing it. We laugh, take in the beautiful weather, listen to music and look forward to rewinding our experience over a glass of Cava (with our feet in our pool). In our downtime, we love growing our knowledge of history, culture, music, art and language unique to this part of Spain. While here with us, we'd love to have you join on this journey.

This is our personal house, and not a business. You will be joining us in our home, which by Mallorca standards, large - and has plenty of space for privacy. At the same time, we have beautiful common areas inside, outside in our courtyard with a refreshing pool, and finally up the stairs to the rooftop terrace, complete with a view of Castell de Capdepera. It's a fortified structure with rich history dating back to the 14th Century. It's on this terrace where we welcome your help. We are scraping old paint off of the terracotta tile so that we can reseal it. We've already completed about half of the work but could use some help getting it finished. When we're done, we can all kick back and take in the views with a great sense of pride!
