Hello, I run an eco fishing lodge and I would love to have some help this summer. I live on a 7 acre off-grid property with 16 cabins, 2 glamping sites and an 800 acre lake with 27 islands to explore. This little piece of paradise would be a great place to live for the summer in exchange for helping us run the lodge. We have a MIN of two weeks so please ensure you plan to stay for at least 2-4 weeks

This is a place where you get to meet people from all over the world. It isn't all work either. There are frequent bonfires, games, canoe rides, and fishing days. If you have never driven a boat before, you have the option to learn. If you like to fish, you will have plenty of time. There is also the famous High Rim hiking trail nearby that goes all the way from Vernon to Kelowna. Bring a pedal bike, motor bike, or borrow our paddle boards for an amazing day. Around us there are hundreds of quading trails to nearby lakes and the closest town is only 25 mins away by car, and only 50 mins away from Kelowna, or 45 mins from Vernon.
Please be aware that this is a remote location and if you are looking to leave the lodge you will either need to: bring your own transportation or be willing to work around our town schedules. Outside of pick up and drop off we do not accommodate travel requests. Thanks for understanding!

I am looking for a few people who can help us out with our spring/summer/fall operations. Duties include:
Landscaping, Recycling Depot, Customer Questions, Painting Projects, Fixing Things, Creating Games and Scavenger Hunts, Cabin Turn-overs, Chopping Wood/Deliveries, Building a new Playground, Gardening, Composting, Feeding Chickens, Cleaning outhouses etc.
I would love to find a fun, out-going, positive, high energy individual who will join our summer team of awesomeness. This job definitely has its perks for the outdoor enthusiast!

Small cabin or camper with cook-top, bbq access, dishes, table and chairs. Primary facilities are out houses and a shared shower house (on-demand hot water). There is a shared BBQ in the common area and a bonfire pit as well as a smoker that you are welcome to use. You may be required to share your space with another work-awayer depending on how many people are coming. Please do not come here expecting a private sleeping space as it is not always possible especially during peak season. If you would like more privacy we also have tenting options available.
Internet is available. We have a cell booster at the lodge but it only works with Fido and Rogers.
I provide food and you are welcome to add requested items to our grocery list (This does not include alcoholic beverages but they can be picked up if you would like to pay for them). I do not allow people to take items from our store unless paid for as that is what the grocery list is for.
If you are a creative soul we have musical instruments to share around a bonfire.
We can pick up and drop off at the following locations: Kelowna/Vernon E-bus station or the Airport
Explore the region around us as it is ridiculously beautiful. We are hoping to buy some used bicycles soon so you are able to borrow them if we have them as well as our boats if there are no people renting them out (we have kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, and motor boats). There are tons of back country lakes to explore and the Islands are fun too. Bonfires are great as long as there are no fire bans. We go to town at least twice per week in summer and there is opportunity to be dropped off for exploring or to pick up things you need etc.
