Description
During the pandemic the hostel had to be closed down by their Belgian-South African owners. In the meantime the business was handed over to the people of Elundini community with Sakumzi as the lovely host. However a lot of job needs to be done to bring the old vibe back. It is all about experiencing Xhosa culture and Xhosa art. Want to submerge yourself in a remote indigenous community, surrounded by nature .... this is the place to be.

If you are interested in learning more about Xhosa culture....this place is for you. Always wanted to know how it is to live in a remote African village away from civilization, buzzing nightlife, restaurants...stay for a couple of weeks. There are public taxis that can bring you around the area.

Help
We are looking for people who can work indepentently and with business skills.
You must also be able to paint, cut the grass, gardenwork and maintenance.
We also need people who can do social media, make nice videos, entertain guests, cook, do fundraising etc.Languages spoken

We offer free accommodation in our dorm and free tea and coffeer. Unfortunately we can't provide food at this point. No formal qualifications required. Experience in running a hostel is a bonus. You need to be minimum 20 year of age and have lots of energy and enthusiasm and be open to other cultures as you will be working close together with the local community.
What else ...
Activities we offer during your free time is learning how to make Xhosa bread, go on a day hike to Hogsback, learn Xhosa, etc.
