    Hello everyone,

    We are looking for 1 person to join our team.
    6 weeks job contract, from around september 17 to october 29.

    The job is picking apples, and making apple products, but it may occur other apple farm work while you are here.

    You will join 5 more worker. All 6 of you will stay together in one house.
    You will live in a house separated from our house, with 3 bedrooms/6 beds, fully equipped including Wi-Fi.

    Working hours will be 7,5 hours a day. From 08:00 to 16:30.
    With 1 hour unpaid break, 11:30 to 12:30.


    We will offer minimum wage.

    Free accomodation. But you pay your own food.


    IMPORTANT:
    We are looking for hardworking, punctual and are good on socializing and working together with others.
    In this kind of work it is important to show flexibility, efficiency, quality and interest on the task to be done.
    You should like to work outside in sun or rain, and be physically fit.
    This is manual work. We sort apples, separate the First class from the Press apples.
    We sell the First class to the market, and make apple juice/apple products from the Press apples.

    We would like you to be able to communicate in English or Norwegian.

    We are farmer living in the south west coast of Norway, We live in a tiny village called Jelsa, my parents, me (47 y/o) , my wife (38), son (12 years old), 4 years old and 2 year old daugthers.
    The whole family likes hiking, fishing and hunting, as well as picking mushrooms and berries in the wood.

    The farm has been in the family for generations.
    But the farm has been farmed at least since iron age. In 2016 we planted the first apple trees and we have been expanding the fruit production ever since. We have now around 17,000 fruit trees in total.
    We deliver the apples to sell to the markets. We also make apple products such as apple juice, apple gele and apple cider.

    You will be welcome in our farm. You are welcome to join us to go hiking, and fishing. We can share good stories, about culture and good laugh.

    Fishing in both fresh and salt/sea water, mountain hiking,

    Nearest small grocery store is 15-20 min drive.

    Nearest big town are Stavanger(2,5 hours drive with car, around 1,5 hours with the ferry) and
    Haugesund(2 hours drive with car, not posible with ferry).

    It is remote area, public transportation is poor. Only school bus and ferries.
