My name is Tanya. I run a dairycow farm in Karasjok in the North of Norway
Around Karasjok there is beautiful nature. Here you can experience the midnight sun in the summer and snow, cold temperatures and Nothern lights during winter. Temperature can be between +30 in the summer and below -45 during wintertime. 24 hour daylight for a period during summer and 1 hour daylight for a period during wintertime. -

2. OPTIONS
1. WORK WITH COWS. Stay for 12 months or longer. Workstart as soon as possible.
75% with more work in periods.
I need someone who can take care of the cowbarn.
I am looking for 1 worker that can work independently and take responsibility. The worker will do the daily tasks in the cowbarn. Milking, feeding, cleaning, see if a cow is sick or in heat, contact the veterinarian and assist him, take care of the cow when it is giving birth and after and other things that might show up with the animals or machines. It will also be other work like fencing, tractor driving(if you have driving licence that is valid in Norway.), cleaning, repairs, claning of huse once a week and all other kind of work that exist on a farm. You need to have experience with cows. You need to be willing to learn and follow the instructions given in a work situation. The learning curve is steep.
You are a Fast learner, Efficient, On time, Reliable, Flexible, Good workethic/ you have a desire to work,You can work on your own and in team when needed.
Driving tractor is not a requirement, but good to have.
Options that will you give you the right to drive tractor in Norway is:
• T- Norwegian Tractor driving licence for Norwegians
• B - acquired before 01.01.2005 will give a right to drive tractor in Norway for EU Citizens.
• BE code 144 for Norwegians
• CE for EU Citizens

2. TRACTOR DRIVING(not available at the moment) from approximatly 1 july and 2-3 weeks. Start and end time depens on when the gras is ready to get harvested.

Driving the cutter, pickp trailer or roundbale maschine. You will take care of the maschine, grease and clean them after. Other work related to the haywork, make maschines ready, work with the transportation system to the silo, clean around them, putting weights on, clearing and cleaning machines after mowing and everything else that accompanies mowing.The job includes other farmwork too. It can be fencing, cleaning, work with cows, repairs and all other kinds of work that exist on a farm. It is not only a driving job.
