    Description

Norwegian countryside lifestyle with fishing and freediving, for our own consumption and leisure.

    My name is Adrian,
    I am an arborist.

As a kid, I spent a lot of time in the garage with my father. He taught me how to be creative and repair things.

In my teens, I worked as a freediving instructor.

I live on a small homestead near my favorite diving spot, a strong tidal current.

I am enthusiastic about mechanics and woodwork, and often have projects in my DIY workshop.

By welcoming you, we can exchange knowledge, cultures and language - making our lives richer!

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Norway has nature you can easily challenge yourself in.

Things I can show you if interested:

Fishing, how to cook, catch and eat the common Norwegian fish.
I also like to practice names of fish in other languages.

Norwegian methods of traditional building. The use of woodworking tools, like planers, hand drills, saws, axes and chisels.
Knowledge about these manual tools and how to use them.

Trees and their life cycle, how to climb, cut or plant them. I would like to know the types of trees in your language!

I build my own spearguns from wood, and can teach about this aswell.

I would also like to learn from you and about your specific skills. Especially about cooking, traditions, culture or anything useful.

If you have your own freediving or fishing gear it is good to bring it. If you don’t have, it possible to rent or borrow. There’s also a nice freediving shop nearby.

You can also learn about Norway as a country with its traditions, culture, language and history.

Two people in red coveralls work on a wooden boat in a cluttered workshop, surrounded by tools and materials, with a scenic view of trees and grass outside.
Three people in winter clothing sit on a boat, each holding a crab, with a pile of crabs in front of them, set against a body of water.
