    Description

Looking for help April and on during lambing to help in my farm home to clean, cook meals, look after dogs and to help clean up the yard to.prepare for our spring garden. We have a wood stove as out primary heat so keeping the fire going is ongoing during the winter. Volunteers in the past winters have learned how to knit and weave with the yarn we produce on the farm. Can take walks down to the river and around the farm in amongst the livestock and and relax in the beauty of the scenery. We provide accommodation and 3 meals a day. There is always a good variety of cereals, bred, fruit, meat and eggs for breakfast and lunches and dinner is our main meal. Depending whether you are vegetarian or not there is always lots of choices.

Our ranch is in the North Thompson Valley in British Columbia where we raise fibre producing sheep, angora goats and alpacas. We have Great Pyrenees dogs to guard our sheep and border collies to move the livestock around. We are 45 minutes north of Kamloops, the same distance to Sun Peaks and a half hour to Wells Grey Park.

Look forward to hearing from you.
    Laurie

Learn how to care for our dogs and prepare a garden. Usually there is an opportunity to learn how to knit or weave from our own yarns produced at the farm. I'm always happy to share how to cook some Canadian farm meals passed down from my mother.
