Description
I am a swedish-born middle-aged german man with Hungarian ancestors living in Tuscany, Italy, hence my username. After half a life as director for different corporations I am presently running my own hotel and a food-tourism business here. I have just bought an old tuscan stone house on the countryside which needs to be, "freshened up". There will be professionals taking care of a large part of that but there are always bits and pieces left to be done. I am personally living an hour away, so I can not be there all the time.

You will be a part of a small local tuscan community (some 200 inhabitants) in Tuscany, Italy, where you will have the possibility to integrate fully. The cultural heritage of Tuscany like Pisa, Lucca, and Florence are on our doorstep. Your host (that's me) can enrich your life with true stories from an exciting career spanning from Moscow to Paris while we work in the garden.
Help
I will need help with reconstructing this 200+ year old house. Experience in bricks and mortar is welcome. Lots of painting, grinding, lifting, building stone walls in the garden etc. Actually quite cool...I will need help with removing old pavement, cleaning 200-year old floor tiles, cleaning, away debris etc. So it is good for someone who wants to get dirty...or who does not mind at least :-)

The traveller or travellers will live on site in a 200+ years old tuscan house with own room (or the whole house, depending on how many travellers come at the same time) with bathroom, kitchen etc. The house is not only in liveable condition but also in a very picturesque setting in small tuscan village very close to the nature. fresh air and the genuine "tuscan feeling" guaranteed!
Food will of course be provided in the form of self catering. I will do the shopping according to what we discuss together, and also (if requested) help with selection and preparation as this is my chosen profession nowadays, so there will surely never be a shortage of food. What else ...
I thought of working in blocks of either 5 days with 5 hours a day or 4 days with 6 hours a day which will leave up to three whole days for excursions and social life. As You will stay in the house more or less by yourself this is entirely up to you. Lajatico, this birthplace and home of world-famous tenor Andrea Bocelli is a cultural hub in itself, but the bus takes you easily into Pisa, Volterra or also Florence, which needs no real introduction culturally.
