    Description

Tutukaka is a special place on the east coast of Northland, New Zealand. Our property overlooks the sea with organic gardens, bananas, an orchard which we are wanting to transform into a syntropic food forest, native and subtropical trees and plants, a large rammed earth home with a self contained little house, which makes a cosy little home for work away peeps. We are looking for workawayers to help around our home and garden.
We love Tutukaka, and run a community gym with great members, classes and equipment, including holistic PT services and immersive breathwork sessions. Workawayers have free access to the gym facilities while they stay with us.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Connect with people through the gym community, other local social activities like surfing, and waka-ama. Tutukaka has restaurant and bars, diving at the Poor Knights marine reserve, beaches, and hiking and running tracks. Looking forward to hosting people from different cultures, learning about their way of life, language, foods. I am studying indigenous psychology, so am interested in indigenous cultures. Happy to share my gardening, holistic, breathwork, fitness, waka-ama, Rongoa skills.

We have one lovely friendly lab/springer spaniel dog so any pets will need to socialise with her. We have kiwi close by, so any animals need to be inside at night, and preferably obedient, kept on a lead when walking.
