We are a Polish family consisting of parents and three children.
We invite you to our beautiful Silesia in southern Poland.
We live in the suburbs of Rybnik (it looks like a village). We both work in culture, NGOs, artistic activities, we are photographers.
We are open people, we like books, music, art, philosophy and we love to travel, but first, we are parents.
We have 3 children, older ones study and work, and the youngest, Inez has been a homeschooler for the last four years (now she is starting higch school in a classic style).
The elders are 25 and 27 years old, the youngest is 14 years old.
We live a little crazy life - we do a lot of activities outside the home, which is why we are looking for people with open minds who will be ready to help us in Inez education :) and take care of the home, cooking, and order.
We started the reconstruction and renovation of the second house (which we are preparing for one artistic and educational project) - we are looking for someone who will help us make it warm and climatic place :)
It is important - we want you to join us in simple everyday activities, such as lighting a fire in the fireplace, daily cleaning at home and cooking, because we do not run a hostel, we will try to create a family with you :)
What can we offer
Lots of fun with us, warm atmosphere, some charming Silesian dialect (not too much :)) interesting experience and more :)
DIY and building projects
Babysitting and creative play
Creating/ Cooking family meals
Help around the house
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Warm atmosphere, long conversations about everything, good board games time, a little bit of lovely Silesian dialect ( not too much :), some learning of Polish language and interesting cultural experiences
More than 4 years ago we started homeschooling for our youngest daughter Inez because we would try possibilities offered by this alternative education. We decided to organize this because Inez learned in a music school too
So that, she had more time for their other passions and meetings with friends. Now she decides to try classical educations again, but still, we look better ways to learn for her.
Two years ago we bought an old house and we started work ... We have some idea for it...but it's constantly evolving.
We are open to people, who will want to share with us their experience, culture, and language. We are also seeking a person to teach with Inez: English (she speak in it, more than basic level ), Spanish (elementary level), Japanese (beginners) and other school subjects, help us in the house and garden. We need people who help us in rebuilt and the renovation of our second house ( which we prepare for one art and education project)too.
We have a separate room, on the ground floor for our guests. Sometimes you can stay with other persons :)
The house is in the suburbs, close to the city.
Around the house is a garden, it's near to the forest.
You can share meals with us if you like of course.
We don't smoke and smoking is not possible inside of the house.
We live close to Czech border, it's only 20 km from us.
With your time off you can go to famous cities like Krakow (only 70km) or Wrocław (about 180km ). Thre are many monuments, art museums, historical museums, many of parks, green spaces and many more interesting places.
From Rybnik are buses or trains to Warsaw, Prague and Vienna too.
Interesting places nearby Rybnik are: Pszczyna, Żory, Racibórz, Rudy Raciborskie, nature reserve Łężczok, Arboretum Moravian Gate and a route of wooden churches. There is also a Industrial Monuments Route and many other interesting places, bike trails,we have less than hour to the mountain.
