Description
I’m Marta, and after 10 years of living in Sicily, I am going back to my home town, Otwock, near Warsaw in Poland.
I was quite active host in Sicily for couchsurfing and volunteers, usually to help me to take care of my two belgian malinois, Passion and MC ( a mother and her son ) and to take care of the garden.
As in Poland the garden is much bigger there will be always something to do and i plan some light renovation works and of course dogs are used to walks not just chilling in the garden and we have around beautifull forests with mushrooms :)
Warsaw aiport is 20 minutes away so if i will bebale i can grab someone from aiport and to gt to he centeer from home you need one hour of a train but it is very often and very accesible if you would like to visit the big city.
The food at home is always planty and various and my mum as me love to have international guests :)
There is a lot of nice shadow in the garden, a hamamck to chill, you can get tan from other side of the house as well.
The doggos are playful, love cuddles, and are incredibly intelligent. However, please keep in mind that they are also very energetic — not the type of dogs that enjoy lounging on the couch all day. They are active, smart, and a bit sassy by nature!
The 6-year-old female, Passion, is well trained and loves to play, go for walks, swim, and play frisbee or fetch. Her son, her firstborn, stole my heart at first sight. He’s now two year old and currently in training for dog sport competitions.
We decided to share our beautiful home and natural surroundings with volunteers, as having someone at home is very helpful the house is big, my mum is basically amost on retirment and there is always a lot of maintanance to do.
I used to be very active on Couchsurfing (I can share my profile with references).
We’ve had great experiences with volunteers from Facebook groups and hope to meet more amazing people here. Some of them have even become close friends and have come back to visit us several times.
In return, we offer the opportunity to improve your language skills (I speak Italian, Polish, and English), delicious food, and a private room.
I can also give lessons on dog training — how to teach tricks, object and scent searches — and share some simple and tasty Polish and Italian recipes.
The help we ask for is around 4 hours a day, 5 days a week, leaving you two days off to explore nearby towns or enjoy excursions together or on your own :) -
