  • Description

Hi! I’m Jasmine, a British girl from London taking a gap year to travel, experience new cultures and meet incredible people before I go to University. I love nature and hiking (it’s my favourite thing to do with friends) but I thrive in the city and enjoy being busy and creative, trying new things and embracing the diversity of city life. I am currently looking for opportunities in March 2026 based in either Valencia or Barcelona and am open to a wide range of new experiences!

I have over 4 years of experience working with children. I am fully paediatric first aid trained and have an enhanced DBS check (police/government safety check), which alongside my energetic and positive attitude makes me the perfect person to be a part of your family :) I have worked as a nanny / babysitter for families in my area and most recently I spent my 2025 summer working at a children’s summer camp in the Uk, as an activity and pastoral leader. I loved the experience and met so many children from around the world. I’ve also worked part-time as a classroom assistant, teaching art to children aged 6-15 since 2021 and have previously spent a year volunteering at my local allotments! I would love to get involved with any gardening that you may need help with at home.

Alongside supporting with childcare, I am a fast learner and I am keen to get stuck in and become a part of the family, helping with various tasks around the house. I have experience doing some small DIY and painting jobs around my family home. I love baking and cooking so if you’re interested I would be more than happy to share some of my Indian family culture with you and share recipes. It’s important you know I am vegetarian, but I am more than happy to make my own food if that’s more suitable.

I'm quite a sociable person, and I'm up to get involved with new things. In my free time I love to sing or attend concerts, go to the beach for a swim and try out great food spots! I also like a chilled night in: making dinner, playing board games etc. I find travel a great way to make special memories and build meaningful connections with great conversation.

Please contact me with any opportunities that you have if you think I would be suitable, I’d love to hear about them! I would love to use workaway as a means to experience a new lifestyle and different cultures while supporting people with what they need help with.

I am more than happy to meet over Facetime / Zoom to introduce myself and answer any questions you may have before committing to a workaway role. I am new to workaway but I do have references available from previous childcare related jobs should you request them x

More details about my language interests
I am a native English speaker. If you are looking for you or your child(ren) to get natural practice and exposure to the language I would love to help them improve their English skills. I have been learning Spanish for a little while (I am still a beginner) but I would like to challenge myself and improve by living in Spain and getting lots of practice while out.
