Description

I am an adventurous traveler and love to immerse myself in new places! Whether that is trying new cuisine, taking in new sights, or hearing a new friend's story, I find new travel experiences among the most valuable and rewarding things in life.

I would love the opportunity to return to France not only to practice my French skills but also to see a new region of the country. Thus far, I have seen and loved the city life in Paris through studying abroad, but I am very interested in working in the southern region of France near the sea. I am particularly drawn to the Côte d'Azur. However, I am looking to explore other countries as well!

I would say that empathy is one of my stronger personality traits, and it inspires me to volunteer/donate to environmental causes. I have also worked in several industries, including service, retail, and corporate. As I am bound to graduate from my master's program soon, the opportunity to travel and volunteer fits perfectly into my personal timeline. It will add immense value to my personal growth. The rewarding feeling of meaningful hard work is important to me, so I think that community-centered outdoor work would be perfect for reconnecting with volunteering.

My hobbies are essential to my day-to-day life, and they include reading (I've almost hit my reading goal for this year!), cooking, swimming, at-home espresso making, painting, watching F1, and talking to my cat, Binx. In 2026, I plan to work on my French skills (I studied French for 3 years in high school, but have only spoken it briefly since then, when traveling).

I am incredibly excited about this opportunity and about meeting new workawayers! 🤗

• I really enjoy cooking and love learning new recipes! My favorite meals to make are either a vegetable based pasta dish or a colorful breakfast plate.
• I assisted in repainting my apartment. I also enjoy painting for fun.
• I have replaced the auxiliary battery & coolant in my car with verbal guidance.
• I have assisted in rewiring a building through outlets independently after following instructions.
• I have assisted in maintaining/harvesting my family's herb garden. I also helped in refilling a giant hole in the yard.
• I am a native English speaker and a beginner in French.
• My university degrees are in marketing/communications, so I have experience in social media and PR.
• I have repaired various items around my house, including the oven door and lightbulbs.

I love card games! I also love all animals and am the type of person to take a spider outside if I find one in my house. I have always wanted to learn how to surf (I do not live near the ocean).
