Description
Hello! My name is Janderson and I live in Alto Paraíso de Goiás, in the heart of Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park, Brazil.
I am building a small nature retreat focused on simplicity, sustainability and connection with nature. The project includes a cozy wooden cabin, camping areas, an outdoor shower, a compost toilet and a suspended wooden deck with an amazing view over the treetops.
This is a peaceful place surrounded by native Cerrado vegetation, beautiful sunsets, starry skies and wildlife. My goal is to create a unique place where people can disconnect from busy city life and enjoy nature.
I am looking for friendly, motivated and open-minded volunteers who enjoy outdoor life and would like to help build this project while sharing experiences, ideas and cultures. -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Staying here is much more than just volunteering. It is an opportunity to experience life in the Brazilian Cerrado, surrounded by nature in one of the most beautiful regions of the country: Chapada dos Veadeiros.
I enjoy sharing my knowledge about the local environment, sustainable building techniques, camping, and simple living in nature. Volunteers are welcome to exchange ideas, teach skills they have, and learn new ones together.
During free time, we can enjoy campfires, watch incredible sunsets and star-filled skies, explore nearby waterfalls and trails, and experience the peaceful atmosphere of the countryside.
I believe cultural exchange is one of the most valuable parts of Workaway. I look forward to meeting people from different countries, learning about their cultures, and creating lasting friendships. -
Help
Our project is constantly evolving, so there are many different ways volunteers can contribute depending on their skills and interests.
Typical tasks include:
Building and maintaining wooden structures (deck, fences and small projects)
Gardening and landscaping
Creating and maintaining walking trails
General maintenance around the property
Painting and simple repairs
Organizing camping areas
Helping improve outdoor spaces
Creative DIY projects and sustainable construction ideas
We usually work together, so no previous experience is required. If you enjoy learning new skills, being outdoors and participating in a hands-on project, you'll fit in well.
The work is varied and flexible, and I always try to match tasks with each volunteer's abilities and interests. -

Accommodation
Volunteers stay in a cozy wooden cabin designed for up to two people, surrounded by the beautiful nature of Chapada dos Veadeiros. The cabin has electricity, Wi-Fi, comfortable beds with bedding provided, and offers a peaceful environment to relax after the day's activities.
Volunteers have access to a private compost toilet and a hot outdoor shower, allowing them to enjoy nature without giving up comfort. There is also a campfire area where we often relax, talk and enjoy the incredible starry nights.
My goal is to offer a simple, clean and comfortable place where people can disconnect from city life, experience the Brazilian Cerrado and feel at home while helping to build this unique project.
Workawayers need to buy their own food. I will provide the basic for kitchen -
What else ...
I welcome positive, respectful and open-minded people who genuinely enjoy nature and simple living. This is not a luxury resort or a commercial hostel; it is a peaceful project that is growing step by step with the help of people who enjoy creating meaningful places.
I value good communication, mutual respect and teamwork. There is always time to relax, share meals, enjoy a campfire, explore the beautiful surroundings of Chapada dos Veadeiros or simply sit quietly and watch the sunset.
If you are looking for an authentic experience, want to learn practical skills, meet new people and contribute to a project surrounded by nature, you will be very welcome here. -
