    Description

Hello, I am Caroline, I am 27 years old. After graduating, I decided to leave the big city's convenience behind and return to the countryside to help my father and spread the eco-awareness.

We own a lovely piece of land where we have a big vegetable garden, many coconut-palms and other trees like banana, papaya and more. Beside this farm we also have a rice field. The rice in this area grows all year around.

I am creating a sustainable tourism project in my village that brings local experience to the foreigners who want to learn more about the culture we have here. It’s for those who search a peaceful environment and who want to interact with local people. I want to introduce everyone into our happy lifestyle immersion.
    My project brings value for:

    THE TRAVELER
Save money and live a great experience. The life in Phu Yen province is one of a kind experience included with culture, impacting society and developing yourself.

    THE LOCALS
Give us a better and happy life with simple things.
I want to give my villagers a better life, stop going to HCMC to find a job. I always wonder why the people from the North come to my province and build up their career. Meanwhile my locals need to find a hard job in HCM (kind of selling lotteries, hard physical work for build big houses and skyscrapers, coffee harvest in the Highlands and other). For each place, always have a unique strength. If we know how to do with it, we will have a better life. Beside that, I also want to keep and share the traditional cultures in the modern life.

    THE LOCAL CHILDREN
I want to provide my local children English Club where they can learn how to speak English, improve the soft skill and knowledge about envinronment. You know, ten years ago, many children began to quit their education because the parents think the education is not important. In their eyes, how to earn money fast is better. And now, the teacher also do not care of the students in schools, they only care of themselves, their money and their own benefits.

This project is also to keep the promise with my deceased Mom.
In my image, I want that my homestay is a place that help the others relaxing from the stressful life, learn more about meditation, life habits for good health and love nature.

I welcome everyone to come with me. I hope we can be a family and stay together like a real family, not strangers. You can stay at my home, enjoy meals and give travel advices. When you stay with me you also have chance to enjoy our traditional culture lifestyle such as: how to plant rice paddy, catching fish, some traditional jobs ( make Tráng cake, Bèo Cake, xèo cake, make Ghe May chair from Banana tree...), enjoy our food and explore natural landscapes. I think it would be really good for you to explore our culture an the great beauty of Phu Yen and Vietnam.

Beside the daily tasks with the farm, some maintenance help in our house, we also have many projects we like to realize.

    - Different bigger projects like building some houses (with wood and bamboo) and a fence around the farm. It would be great if you are a (experienced) carpenter, handyman or handywomen ;-) The more experiecend you are, the happier I am, because myself am not very experienced in it. But don’t worry, if you don’t have any experience, we can do it together :-)

    - Extend our eco-vegetable-garden, plant and harvest all the vegetables.

    - Maintenance at the whole farm like reparing/fixing broken things, cleaning the area and removing the weed.

A very important and meaningful project for me is to educate the kids and the habitants in my village about enviroment and the plastic problem and teaching English for children from 6- 13 years old. Older people don't care about this problem and the impact. The most of the people just ignore it, that's why also the children never learn how to take care to our wonderful world. My aim is to educate children and do some clean-ups.

I hope you can help me with (all) my work and to realize all the projects.

Hours depend on temperature and season (it can vary):
You usually get up at 7AM, you help me with breakfast and then we will go to the farm, the market or whatever is there to do.
We take a lunch break around 11:30AM and go to the farm around 3PM again for a little bit.
I have English classes for the local kids so I hope that you can help me with this activities.
