A big thank you to all the volunteers that helped in all the projects since the begining of this camp site.
This season (May-October) we look for people who are willing to help in cooking, setting up tents, washing sheets, cleaning toilets, cleaning the path to the camp and the path of the canyon from waste, help in construction of wooden cabins etc.
Late October to late December we will need help for the harvesting of olives and participants will see the procedure of olive oil production in a modern olive oil factory and will also have the chance to enjoy fresh olive oil.
The olive oil production is one of the oldest agricultural traditions in the south of Albania.Participating in the proccess gives as a result the continuation of this tradition wich offers sustainable development and provides nature conservation at the same time.

Most visitors are travellers from around the world so you will be able to have a multicultural exchange during the time staying here. You could learn part of the local history, few cultural traditions, observe the old architecture used for the construction of stone buildings (churches, houses)or you could learn some of the Albanian language if so.Socializing in the group of volunteers is having a good time and it is a way to get to know stories and exchange valuable information about traveling around Albania and other places .We will try to apply as much possible self sufficient ways of living and have the lowest negative impact towards the enviroment so getting to how this can happen and participating in the process of aplying methods is beneficial aswell.
We ask from volunteers who wish to visit to be responsible and respectful towards each other and towards the tasks given.
We eat food cooked in our kitchen & sleep in tents equiped with mattreses+sheets+blankets.Showers are cold in the camp but if you cant stand it you can warm up water on fire to shower in a more traditional way.
You could visit the nearby villages (Unesco protected) or go climbing-hiking in the canyon and swimming at the beach relax at the camping area etc.At Vuno village you will find some old reconstructed churches or ruins in some cases. These churches will be funded from us to get rebuilt-reconstructed & maintained helping this way in the rehabilitation of Vuno cultural heritage.
There used to be around 20 family owned small churches in function many years ago.
You could also try to visit by hiking along the coast,Jale or Dhermi beach. You can explore a famous historical sea cave(Shpella e Pirateve-Pirates Cave) . Another place you could visit is the old monastery of Saint Theodore up the hill,30min from the camp.
Available transport are usually buses and mini buses from the main road(40-50minutes walking distance from the camp)to Himare/Sarande/Vlore/Tirane.
