A big thank you to all the volunteers that helped in all the projects since the begining of this farm & camp site.
This year help will be needed for the maintainance of the canyon path, the beach area(collection of waste plastik ,metal etc.)the land part where is the farm-camp area, for the cultivation of fruit and olive trees and help in growing organic vegetables in a garden aplying agroforestry and permaculture.
In February to end March we will start planting for the spring-summer season also help will be needed in agricultural projects connected with the village of Vuno.
Length of stay should be minimum 3 weeks.Being able to cook is needed from all volunteers also cleaning toilets from time to time.Longer stay is welcome to.
Late October to late December help for the harvesting of olives is welcomed and participants will see the procedure of olive oil production in a modern olive oil factory and will also have the chance to enjoy fresh olive oil.
The olive oil production is one of the oldest agricultural traditions in the south of Albania.Participating in the proccess gives as a result the continuation of this tradition wich offers in the end sustainable development and provides nature conservation at the same time.
Work in agricultural projects include :
Cleaning the garden from bad weeds ,tree pruning, fertilization, smooth resilince of trees, planting,in the time between February to end April.
One of the goals is to achieve self sustainability with the lowest impact possible also our goal is the achievement of wildlife conservation in a protected area(Natural monument) wich has more visitors during the summer season is important.
In one of our projects we will help people of the vilage to grow their own organic vegetables and plant some fig or peach or other type of fruit trees. We will try to put to work methods like CSA(climate smart agriculture),horticluture, permaculture, agroforestry and raise biodiversity at the same time.
We will try together to put to work filters for blackwater and greywater treatment.

  • Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Most visitors are travellers from around the world so you will be able to have a multicultural exchange during the time staying here. You could learn part of the local history, few cultural traditions, observe the old architecture used for the construction of stone buildings (churches, houses)or you could learn some of the Albanian language if so.Socializing in the group of volunteers is having a good time and it is a way to get to know stories and exchange valuable information about traveling around Albania and other places to.We will try to apply as much possible self sufficient ways of living and have the lowest negative impact towards the enviroment so getting to how this can happen and participating in the process of aplying methods is beneficial aswell.
