Description
German family living on Sao Miguel with 6 cats, surrounded by beaches and vulcanoes. Moved here to ensure healthy eventide for our mothers and stayed after their passing on. Quinta consists of two houses (barrier-free) and big garden. Min. stay 2 weeks. Helper should speak German or English, have drivers license (gear shift) and should be skilled in carpenting for minor maintenance works of doors, windows and shutters and help with painting and renovating. An entire house with kitchen for self-catering will be provided.

You can learn German, exchange the Portuguese language, about Azorean culture, flora&fauna on a subtropical island in the Atlantic. Learn surfing, big game fishing, go for a hike, horse ride or do Yoga in your leisure time.
Help
We are currently renovating the houses and need help with that. Especially our wooden windows, shutters and doors need adjustment, grinding, painting etc.

Accommodation
Own house on the Quinta, incl. 3 bedrooms (accessible by wheelchair, bathroom for handicapped). The house if fully equipped for self-catering. A bicycle can be provided.
What else ...
Our Quinta is centrally located on the island. Beaches to surf can be reached within 10 min., vulcanic hotsprings within 40 min. A bicycle for private use is provided.
We are pet esp. cat lovers just in case you have an allergy.
We have a flexible schedule for work pinned in the room, which can be discussed ahead.
We only have one car which is not for use by the Workawayer, else we have a bus station in 10 min. walking distance or you can hire a rental car.

The work here is very nice. Walking with the moms, playing games, sometimes we watch photo s together.
