  Description

  We are Oli, Léa, Eloïse and Valentin, and we live in our little house, which is part of a housing cooperative in the Namur countryside. We need a helping hand with DIY in the communal areas, tidying up our garden and the shared vegetable patch, taking part in communal projects once a month, and also with day-to-day running of the household: the children, cooking, cleaning – in short, family life!

  Nous, c'est Oli, Léa, Eloïse & Valentin, on vit dans notre petite maison qui fait partie d'un habitat groupé dans la campagne Namuroise. On a besoin de coups de mains pour bricoler dans les espaces communs, aménager notre jardin et le potager partagé, participer aux chantier communs une fois par mois, et aussi dans la gestion du quotidien : les enfants, la cuisine, le ménage, bref la vie de famille !

  You'll be staying with us, sharing meals (if you wish!) at our table, enjoying good conversations over freshly ground coffee, or a local beer by the fire... Movie nights, or board games with the neighbors in the cohousing community. Discovering life in a cohousing community. We appreciate being able to "travel from home"; before our building project, we were a couple of globetrotters :)

  Vous êtes logés chez nous, vous partagez les repas (si vous le souhaitez!) à notre table, de bonnes discutions autour d'un café fraîchement moulu, ou avec une bière du coin à côté du feu... Soirées films, ou jeux de société avec les voisins de l'habitat groupé. Découverte de la vie en habitat groupé. Nous apprécions pouvoir "voyager de chez nous", avant notre projet de construction nous étions un couple de bourlingueurs :)

  Help

  Help with maintaining our house and garden, as part of a community living project on a U-shaped farm.
  We need a good helping hand with: monthly communal work projects, landscaping the communal areas, and maintaining our land (9 hectares), vegetable garden and orchard.
  We have all the equipment, and no prior experience is necessary (it’s a chance to learn!)
  Garden landscaping: planting trees, creating raised beds, digging a pond, moving earth, dry stone walls, vegetable garden, etc.

  Une aide pour l'entretien de notre maison et de notre jardin, au sein d'un habitat groupé dans une ferme en U.
  Nous avons besoin d'un bon coup de main pour : les chantiers communs une fois par mois, pour l'aménagement des espaces communs, l'entretien de notre terrain (9 hectares) de notre potager et de notre verger.
  Nous avons tout le matériel, et il n'est pas nécessaire d'avoir des compétences dans ces domaines (c'est l'occasion d'apprendre!)
  Aménagement du jardin : planter des arbres, fabriquer des buttes, creuser une mare, déplacement de terre, murs en pierres sèches, potager,...

  Nous avons beaucoup voyagé, et pratiqué l'anglais et l'espagnol pour pouvoir partager et échanger, on trouve ça super de passer d'une langue à l'autre, et de pouvoir pratiquer grâce à l'accueil de personnes parlant d'autres langues! We’ve travelled a lot and practised our English and Spanish so we can chat and exchange ideas; we love switching between languages and being able to practise thanks to the warm welcome we’ve received from people who speak other languages!

  We are a 5-minute drive from a train station. Namur and Brussels are easily accessible by train. There are lovely walks all around (the farm is next to a small wood), and hiking trails are available. We are also near the Meuse Valley.

  Nous sommes à 5 minutes en voiture d'une gare. Possibilité de rejoindre Namur et Bruxelles assez facilement en train. Jolies balades tout autour (la ferme est accolée à un petit bois), chemins de randonnées disponibles. Près de la vallée de la Meuse.

  Nous avons un parking à l'entrée de la ferme, malheureusement pas très plat.. Mais possibilité de placer des cales, et d'y rester quelques jours. En été, on peut accéder aux jardins en voiture, quand il fait bien sec.

  Can possibly accept pets

  Tout dépend de l'animal ! On tolère les chiens uniquement quand ils sont bien dressés, il y a beaucoup d'enfants et de personnes stressées par les chiens dans notre habitat groupé, on a besoin d'être sûrs que les animaux ne posent pas de problème. Nous avons 5 chats à la ferme, plutôt paisibles et qui n'ont pas envie d'être dérangés! Nous avons aussi 2 chiens de travail (bergers) 18 poules et 2 brebis.
